A mission

"Krista, I need your help. A mission. Rank 7." Sherry said in a serious and no nonsense voice. Even though concise, Krista understand it instantly and her face changed into indifference.

(Mission is rank from 1 to10 with 10 as the hardest and most dangerous)

"Oh. That's unfortunate Ma. You know I already quitted. I can't go back. Im trying to live like a normal single woman. Please." Krista pleads in an irritated tone. She then walks out of the room and proceed on walking towards a big empty lot.

Sherry followed her from behind and stopped her before she even get inside the car

"I know you quit but Krista this is a mission that you need to take because it involves you." Sherry holds her upper arm to stop her. Facing Krista, she shows what it on her other hand- a pendant.

"What's this--?" As Krista holds the pendant she looks at her, disbelief on her face.

"Yes. So are you up to it now?" Sherry nodded while patting her on her shoulder.

"I need to think Ma. This will not be easy-- want to come in my unit?"

"Sure, i brought your car. I hope you dont mind" Sherry smiled sheepishly.

"Whatever, let's go" Krista's indifference replied was given a simple shrugged by Sherry. They walk towards the lone midnight blue car at the far end corner in silence. Krista's mind is in turmoil and was absentminded as she started her car.
