16 Control & Difference.

Evelyn held Christoph in her arms with her teeth sunk into his jugular. She was sucking his blood, forgetting that he was a vampire and blood was vital to him. However, Christoph was awake. Unlike his bite, which could send the lady into euphoria, Evelyn's bite was crude and painful.

Christoph sensed her arms tightening around him as her body heated up. The young man frowned. This was not a normal reaction in any situation. To confirm his doubts, Evelyn took back her fangs and whispered, "Kiss me, Christoph."

The young man opened his eyes wide and knew Evelyn had an aphrodisiac reaction. He held her in his arm but did not intend to give in. He was not a beast to engage in such actions. His brain began to move like clockwork. Looking around, Christoph located the bathroom.

He picked Evelyn up as she wrapped her legs around his waist and arms around his shoulders. Christoph almost fell on the bed from the sudden weight shift.

Hastily, he steadied himself and took a deep breath as Evelyn rained kisses on his face. She was also rubbing her crotch against him. The young man walked toward the door leading to the bathroom while carrying a squirming woman in his arms.

The task's difficulty increased as soft lips almost sucked his soul out. The pain he suffered could not be described in words. He did not have the time to mind the manners and dashed through. He cruelly used Evelyn's body as a shield while breaking the door.

Christoph may be a vampire now, but he was still a male. A beautiful woman acting like this in his arms was enough to make him lose control. He was not a steel-hearted person in terms of lust.

Rushing inside the washroom, he came to stand under the shower. The crash against the gate stimulated Evelyn even more, and she tore Christoph's windbreaker. Her mouth was out of control as she left bite marks over his shoulders and chest.

Christoph was about to slip into the ocean of lust when he twisted the tap, and cold water began to rain over them. All he had to do now was to wait for the heat to pass. However, the longer it took, the more painful it will be for him.

After ten minutes, Evelyn had calmed down. At least her legs were not wrapped around Christoph like before. However, she had torn Christoph's windbreaker and t-shirt while trying to get a piece of him.

As she woke up, she found him standing before her, with his eyes closed as the water dripped down his face. She was surprised to see him in the nude, but then she looked at herself and found that her clothes were in place.

She was embarrassed as she recalled what happened, and the fact that Christoph did not take advantage of the situation left a deep impression on her. Sensing her movements, the young man opened his eyes. The scarlet eyes shocked Evelyn greatly.

A few moments later, the tint of scarlet vanished, and Christoph's eyes returned to their original black. She opened her mouth, wanting to say something, when the young man shushed and shook his head.

His meaning was for her to stay quiet. He closed his eyes and focused on calming his thoughts. It was said that Vampires were incapable of emotions. However, that was just a misconception. Vampires felt emotions stronger than any human.

They had to endure immense pain to train their minds to be in charge. Christoph had never suffered something like this. His primal instincts influenced his body. His blood was on fire, and his heart was racing. The cold water falling over his head was the only thing helping him control his urges.

Evelyn had just woken up and stopped fiddling with his manhood. If she were to say anything, it would only trigger him. The lady realized this and stood there silently. After a couple of minutes, when Christoph loosened his clenched fists.

He opened his eyes and said, "Are you okay?"

Evelyn nodded, and Christoph said, "You should stay here for a few more minutes. I will go out first."

He did not wait for her reply and walked out. He was afraid that he would lose control again. Christoph thought, 'Out of sight, out of mind. That would be for the best. I cannot get complacent.'

Under the shower, Evelyn looked at his back and thought, 'You are different.'

She recalled her conversation with Ambrosia when they were discussing this task.

In a dim study room, Ambrosia was sitting on a wooden chair, looking at the detailed account presented to her by Vincent. Evelyn was standing beside her silently.

After Vincent finished reciting the task details, Ambrosia said, "Evelyn."

The woman replied, "Understood, my lady."

Ambrosia said, "Bring Christoph with you. It will be a test to see if he has any qualities to be retained."

Evelyn was surprised, but before she could ask, Vincent asked, "My Lady, is it not too early to send him out? Also, this task is anything but a test. Suppose Percival caught hold of that boy. He is better off dead. Forget that. The hunters will be vying for Percival's life too. What if something happens?"

Ambrosia replied as she leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms before her chest. She said, "You do not need to worry too much about things. He is not that weak, and his mindset is far more stable than it seems. This test allows him to realize his new world's intensity and reality.

He needs to master his instincts. No training is better than a real battle. When his life is at the line, he will evolve faster."

This surprised the two people. They did not expect the lady to have such a high opinion of Christoph. Evelyn asked, "My lady, may I ask you something?"

Ambrosia nodded, and Evelyn asked, "What is so different about him that makes you think so highly of him? I do not see him as someone unusual."

Lady Silvermoon smiled, and while gazing at Evelyn, she said, "The secret lies in his appearance."

Vincent could not help but shiver as he looked at the lady.

Evelyn asked ignorantly, "What is that secret, my lady?"

Ambrosia put up a faint smile and, while gazing at the void, asked, "Do you wish to know?"
