Finding A Key

Revan took the key out and placed it within his robes. "I should always keep this close to me."

Revan looked within the drawer and scanned for anything important. There was a pouch in the corner of the drawer and it had a little bit of weight to it. Revan lifted it up and placed it onto his desk. It was a plain light brown pouch with a thick thread tying the top shut. Revan loosened the knot and poured the contents out onto the desk. Hundreds of bronze coins came pouring out of the pouch and there were also a handful of silver coins as well.

Revan: So I'm guessing the currency on this planet is based on bronze, silver and gold... hopefully. If that's the case, I should have enough to cover food... unless 3 Peaks is like Venezeula and I'm paying stupid prices for bread but with a solid currency it shouldn't get inflated to that point

Revan gathered all the coins and put them back into the pouch. In the drawer there was also an envelope that looked to be quite detailed. Revan reached in and pulled a letter out. It was a letter from his parents. It was written in beautiful cursive, it appeared to be a female's writing.

"To our son Revan, from your parents."

"We decided to write a letter to you, you'll probably be reading it once you get out of training. We want you to know that we miss you dearly and can't wait to see you but we don't know how long we'll be held up in the Mysterious Beast Range. We left you some money that you probably found already in the pouch. It isn't too much but it should cover for a present to keep you busy even though were gone. I know you and your father love to have sparring sessions, your father is itching to see how much his genius son has improved. I want to see if my son has grown wiser, taller or maybe even kinder. Well, were busy at the range so I can't write for too long, just remember that we love you and can't wait to come back to see you. Penelope has also been missing you a lot, when you were gone she would always bring you up. When you get back home just talk to her even if it isn't for a long time, I know she'll appreciate it. Well, we can talk for as long as we want when we get home so this should be it for now."

As Revan finished reading he felt his heart get a little warmer. "I don't know her personally yet but it seems like the previous owner of this body had a great relationship with his parents and I'm grateful for that. His mom seems like a loving figure that wants him to be happy and his father seems like he wants his son to grow into his full potential. I am truly grateful, who knows, I could have been given horrible parents that care not for their child."
