48 Chapter 48

Sam was back in Tony's apartment, having taken on Tony's appearance. He had received a surprising request from a former Soviet assassin who wanted his services to kidnap a government agent, posing as Sam Lee.

Pouring himself a drink, Sam sipped it and muttered to himself, "An ex-Soviet assassin who fought Chainsaw Man and forced him to escape wants my help to kidnap Sam Lee alive."

He sensed a presence sitting on his window, their killing intent concealed. But he chose to ignore it.

"Sam is Makima's weakness, possibly a husband," he said calmly. "Guess Power jinxed him with her House Husband motto."

'Back to the topic. She wants Sam to either force her to give up Denji or use him as a hostage to protect herself from Makima.'

"That woman scares even the assassins," Sam sighed. He considered his life; Makima was serious about marrying him, and he began to contemplate extreme measures, like removing his vocal cords.

'She is like a bossy wife. Maybe I should seriously help the ex-Soviet assassin kidnap myself. This way, I could enjoy freedom,' he thought. 'But Makima is too good in bed. She's blown my mind. I want more of that.'

Sam poured himself another drink. "Where to go? Right, when nothing is right. Or left, when nothing is left."

A broad smile crossed his face as he looked at the ceiling. He felt a tickling of happiness, and for the first time in this world, he couldn't wait for answers.

"Life has something worthy to offer," Sam said.

"So this is the great Tony, who knows exactly why I want to kidnap Sam," a voice came from the window.

"I was waiting for you to make a move," Sam turned his head to see a slim woman sitting on the window. Tony's apartment was on the 20th floor of a high building, making her entry quite impressive.

Sam's eyelids almost shook; the woman was very beautiful, with Eastern European features. Black purplish hair, green eyes, fair skin, full lips, slim waist, and ample thighs with a moderately-sized chest.

'Solid 10. But too bad she's a crazy bitch, because I don't do them,' Sam thought. Then he realized he had been with Makima and Power, making him feel like a hypocrite.

Sam looked at her lifelessly. "You know, if I weren't on guard, you would be dead."

"Do you usually attack your clients?" she asked as she entered. "Nice place, by the way." She grabbed a glass and a bottle of alcohol. "Hope you don't mind."

"Work expenses," Sam shrugged. "So, who's the beautiful lady who wants me to kidnap a government agent?"

"My name is Reze. I'm more known in this business than you. You should have heard about me already."

"Sorry, I'm not very active around this area," Sam replied, looking at Reze. As delicate as her appearance was, he had a feeling she was very strong.

"So, I've heard that you are requesting a prepayment."

"Is there something wrong with that?" Sam asked.

"Yes. What guarantees me that you won't take the money and run away?"

"That's not how we do business," Sam replied. "The prepayment is for me in case you cancel all of a sudden. I mean, there are other reasons I don't expect you to ask for all. But do I need a reason to get life assurance?"

"Life assurance? We don't have that in the ex-Soviet. Besides, how much are you asking for?"

"10%," Sam said, trying to be reasonable.

Sam. Or Let's call him Tony, as he called himself in that appearance, wouldn't mind selling himself for some benefits.

"I'll give you only 1 percent. I don't have that much money," she replied. "It's around 10 million dollars. I guarantee you I can get that money through one of my contacts."

"And how do you plan to pay me the rest?"

"To be honest with you, I'm aiming for the heart of the Chainsaw Man."

"You want the 7 billion," Sam said.

She giggled. "You are quite naive. That's a bargain price. The heart of the hero of hell is worth even more."

"Hero?" Tony lifted his head, and a bubble appeared in his imagination. Inside it, the cute Pochita was wearing a cap and flying.

"That doesn't matter to you at least. You just do your job."

"So you came all this way here to bargain," he sighed and lowered his head.

"No, I just wanted to see the known as Immortal Tony," she said, shaking her wrist. A small knife appeared. In a blinding speed that he'd never seen, she waved her knife.

Tony, although he could see it in slow motion, didn't react. The knife sliced through his throat.

[-50 HP]

He poured himself more alcohol, and he downed the glass in one go.

[+20 HP]

The slit on his throat was closed instantly.

He looked at her, and he said. "You're satisfied."

She stood up, turned and walked to the window. "Quite unpleasing given your reparation. I didn't expect such an attack would work on you."

"Turn to me, please," Tony requested.

Reze turned to him, shaking her head. "Why is that?"

Tony started shaking his hand, throwing buttons in the air.

Reze looked at the buttons.

"Nice," he said, looking at her chest, which was exposed with a silk black bra.

She then looked at her chest and smirked. "You pervert."

She just realized that he'd pulled her buttons out of her blouse.

"Correction. A man of culture," Tony replied. "Otherwise, I would have gone deeper and pulled your soul." He then threw her the buttons.

"Not bad," she smiled, "Well, I have faith in you. Do your job well."

She then jumped out of the window.

Tony's phone vibrated with a notification from a Swiss bank, indicating that ten million dollars had entered his account.

"That fast?" he raised an eyebrow. "Well, Sam, you're in deep shit. Better be prepared… to make me rich."
