12 Chapter 6.3

Fossum rose upwards from the water.

When her feet was above the surface of it, she walked across it, lightly treading across.

Small ripples moved under her.

Droplets dripped off her clothes and hair, falling back into the bay.

"You sure catch on quick, Amakusa Tozue, or was that just a fluke?"

He replied, with:

"Veeeeehh…. vod vluge."

The moon was above him, as she looked up towards the street.

Moon rays and street lights casted a shadow on him.

Not moving from his spot, he looked down at her below.

Scaling up the concrete, Emilie pulled a hair tie out of her pocket, putting her hair into a ponytail.

"You're a good one, I'll definitely feel a little sad about all of this, after it is over."

No reaction on Tozue's part, to her.

But four holes had slit open on his back.

Tozue had unconsciously learned something new about Mister Insects abilities in the full-release form.

Four membraneous wings emerged, floating and casually drifting around the intestine crown behind his head.

Wide-eyed, she looked at him in disbelief

There was an ability even Norway didn't know about.

Tozue was behind the railing to the bay, with the rest of his drones piling on the rail too.

She was uncertain she could win at this point.

Sighing, she opened her mouth, sticking her hand inside.

With three of her fingers, she slowly wriggled out a sword.

It had no guard on it.

Just a simple long blade with a grip.

Holding the sword in her right hand, she asked him:

"Now, can you guess what Devil I contracted with to get this?"

She stuck the blade outwards, pointing it at him.

"This little bad boy right here… is something capable of slaying even the primal fears."

Lowering the sword, she seemingly warped away, leaving a small afterimage.

A plate on Tozue's face slid open, revealing a human mouth.

"That's fine, my devil isn't a primal fear."

The blade swung at his head, aiming for the topmost section, to get his brain.

Emilie had moved behind him instantaneously.

Before it could happen, the wings, which were quietly bobbing around before, had moved to his defense.

Right before it could strike him, all four wings layered on each other to stop the devil-slaying sword.

After standing there for a second, the plating on Tozue's head melted away.

Revealing himself to her.

But he was different now.

Looking behind his back at her, she saw his change.

His hair had turned dark red, instead of being pure black.

It had become much longer, reaching to the middle of his back.

Two small antennas stuck out from his hair.

His dark eyes lightened to an amber.

Multiple rings surrounded his pupils.

Actively controlling the wings, he pushed her sword downwards, telling her:

"We both know that you can go a little harder on me."
