Aurora

A year later….

"A double chicken burger and a smoothie." I say to Claire.

"Don't boss me around I don't work for you."

"The customer is waiting dumbass." I reply and she glares at me. 

She got the order and I served the customer, it was a Saturday so it's being a busy day. 

After we were done with the orders, I cleaned the kitchen whole Claire helped clean the rest of the places. 

"Can we go home now?."

"After we get food." I say to her and she takes yawn. "On a second thought you don't deserve food." 

"You wouldn't dare." She gasps.

"Try me."

It's being a crazy year. After I left home, I had some money and I still had Lu credit card. I withdrawn all the money and it was a whole lot of money after that I threw his card away. I don't trust father I know he could go behind his back and check his bank statement seeing I was the closet to Lu, I don't want to get Lu in trouble and I don't want father to find me. 

I got a ticket to California, where I stayed for a while just for two months before I moved to Los Angeles. I got an apartment, and I also got everything I needed, a change of name and everything included. I didn't change my first name only my surname, I know father very well he wont go looking for Aurora he knows I'm smart enough to change my name so I outsmarted him. I kept my name and changed my surname. 

Aurora Smith, there are more than five thousand smiths in the US, I also made sure I got captured on the train station in California so I could give father a fake lead of where I could possibly be. 

I wanted to live a normal life away from the eyes of people so I got a job as a waitress because I knew if I stayed living off on Lucifer's money a lot of questions could be asked. I was paid a fair amount of money at the café I worked in. I haven't spoken to Lucifer since then, I did try to reach him when I got a new phone but fuck he didn't pick which was weird and he never tried to contact me. 

I knew probably something happened at home when I left so I didn't try reaching him again, I can't put him in trouble. 

I got an apartment, at the place I work I met Claire she has being the nicest person I have met, and I didn't want to stay alone so we figured we could share the apartment. 

Claire was from a good family, her parents were the sweetest, they did try to find out about me and my family but I told them I lost everybody during an accident and since then it has being me, Claire did ask questions on how I was able to afford such an apartment which I told her it was from the money I inherited from my family. 

I do miss home sometimes but I know this is for the best, sometimes I feel like leaving everything I'm doing so I would go back home, I wanted to just make sure mom and Lucifer are fine. 

I was still scared he will find. 

"We are home." Claire says bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Fucking finally." I muttered. 

We got into the apartment, I hurried back into my room to change my clothes and take a quick shower. 

After that I dressed in my pajamas. 

"I love Chinese food." I say with mouth full. 

This is freedom, I get to do whatever I want without being judged. 

"Listen I have a crazy idea." 

Oh God. 

"Please let it not be another sky diving."

Last month she made sure go sky diving when we got out pay check, it was the most horrible day of my life, I thought I was going to die. Fuck. 

"Clubbing."

I have never being clubbing before, when I was home I wasn't allowed to leave the house with guards and father considered clubbing uncultured and when I came here it never came to my mind to go clubbing. 

It was mostly shopping, adventures, parties and concerts.

I stare at her because I didn't even know what to wear or how to behave, I mean I have watched movies, I knew what clubbing was like.

"Don't tell me."

"Shut up."

"We are definitely going then, don't worry I'm going to make it worth your while." She says and I smile.

"Nothing too slutty please."

"Don't tell me what to do?." She says making me let out a laugh. 

Tomorrow we would be getting our paycheck and we would be on a two day break, fuck I can't wait. I'm tired of going to work having to smile at those customers when they are nothing but rude to us. 

Fucking assholes all the fucking time. 

"We can go shopping then clubbing at night." I suggested.

"Maybe it's time you lose that v card of yours."

"I'm not doing that."

"We will see."

This was something Claire has being wanting me to do, I didn't really care much about men, I mean I haven't seen anyone that caught my eyes, I have had those that wanted me but after a date or two I stopped talking to them. I didn't even know my kind of man, I have never really thought about it. 

"What of Sebastian?." 

"The cat guy, no." 

Sebastian was someone I went out with once and then I never called again, he was a weirdo. 

I got back into my room and closed the door, I went into my closet and took out a gun to put under my pillow. That is how I have being sleeping for the last year. 

I'm scared he would barge into my room and take me away from the life I created for myself.
