CHAINED TO A DEMON: LUCIFER'S HEIR

"I love you" She heard him say, looking up into his blue eyes. Those blue eyes which always made her feel weak and helpless no matter how much she hated this man. Those blue eyes that had always made her fall head over heels in love with him over and over again no matter how hard she has tried and was even trying. Those blue eyes which had always haunted her and made her miss him no matter how much she tried to stop the feelings. Those ocean-strong blue eyes. she let him in……after she knew that she would never be a saint no matter how pure she was…..She still wanted to be with him. She wanted him to love her. He was a sinner…..he was a monster…..a highly placed demon. But he was hers.

Madam Garcia paced to and fro, restlessness seeming to have taken over her body.

It seemed she was impatient with herself, everything around her seemed not to bother her; her restlessness keeps growing and it seemed it will go on like this if she does not clear her head.

From the first day she had met Crystal out on the road, she knew there was more to her than meets the eyes. She wanted to be who this girl could trust...could lean on, just like in the summer time. She wanted to see her smile, just like the sunflower under the sun.

She knew this girl suffered and the least she could do was force her to tell her all that had happened with her. But over the years she didn't have the heart to ask her or try to comfort her when she knew this girl was hurting deep inside.

She thought that if she could give her more time, this girl would come to her and confident in her. She had loved this girl so much and had taken taken her as her own daughter. And now life wanted to be so cruel to her? There was no way she would lose her?

Fate can not be that cruel can it?

No...she could not let that happen...she just could not. And that is why she was willing to do anything for her, even if it is to give out her blood just for her to be safe.

She has to be safe.

There was no way she could lose Crystal....now that she knew who she was. and there was no way she could let her leave this world before she herself does.

Not after she had found out about everything.

She had lost everything....but there was no way she would lose this child. This child was their last hope and if she remained in this world, there will still be a chance....a chance that it would all come back to the way it was.

She could not suffer this grief one last time. She had to be fine. No one ever told her that grief felt so like fear. No...she was not not afraid, she had met more than death.

But the sensation is like being afraid. The same fluttering in the stomach, the same restlessness, the yawning.

At other times it feels like being mildly drunk, or concussed. There is a sort of invisible blanket between the world and her being. Right from the first day she saw Crystal she knew that she was special.

She saw the Doctor come out from Crystal's room, jolting her out of her thoughts.

The Doctor had said she had lost a lot of blood, despite the fact that the wound was tied with a cloth so she won't lose any more blood. She did not care about the money or how she will get it, she just wanted Crystal to be fine.

"Doctor"

She called as soon as she saw the Doctor coming out of Crystal's room.

"How is she?"

He looked at her with a smile as he removed his glasses.

"I will not say anything for now but i would rather like us to discuss in my office. Would you please come with me?"

"Yes please" She quickly said and followed him, sorry still evidently on her face. What does the Doctor want to tell her now?

The hallway has as much personality as the rest of the hospital. The floor is slate grey and the walls dove. Above the ceiling is made from those polystyrene squares laid on a grid-like frame. The light is too bright for my eyes after the darkening gloom outside, Madam Garcia found it abrasive, enough perhaps to bring on one of her migraines.

But her restlessness made her drop the idea. There are commercial prints on the wall, tasteful in the dull kind of way. This place certainly is not run by risk-takers and she guessed she could find comfort in that.

Above every door I pass is a large plastic sign, dark with white lettering- no fancy fonts, just bold and all-caps. It's so new and spotless she felt like the whole building must have just gotten beamed here from some-place dirt is outlawed.

They entered the first door of the second floor which she assumed is his office. Entering, she could not really appreciate the beauty of the office due to her nervousness. It was just a cut, she would be okay right?

"Do please have a seat" He said as he walked to the mini fridge close to her desk and brought her a cold chilled water.

Not understanding his hospitality, she looked at the water and looked at the man. His eyes turned purple and smiled at her. No....no.

"What....."

"At least you know i am not a threat. Please take the water. It will cool you down".

"Who are you?" Madam Garcia asked as she looked at him, her eyes narrowed as she saw his eyes back to its normal light blue colour.

"Calm down Glinda. Its just me" He smiled, looking at her with a chuckle.

Her brain stutters for a moment and my eyes take in more light than she had expected, every part of her goes on pause while my thoughts catch up.

"Fenris? You...you are alive?"

"I am alive"

"You survived...how?"

"And you could not even recognize me with my fake identity.

"I thought i was the only one of our kind alive. Where the hell have you been hiding?"

"That is not the case. What happened to the girl? And why does she feel so different?"

"She is the one" Madam Garcia said, standing up from the chair. I found out she is and that is why i am so protective of her. She is our last chance of survival Fenris".

"If she is the one then there is no way we can hide her. She will attract other life forces and beings. She is not safe here, we have to kill her"

"And wait for another thousand years....no! By then we and our kind will be extinct. You and i know that heaven is the least safest place for her as there is totally chaos in heaven. When they hear she is alive, i am sure they will come down to get her"

"Phanuel and Zadkiel had declared war on each other. Gabriel and Michael are nowhere to be seen in heaven as i have heard. The three other angels have also been at war on each other"

"Oh! You know about this and you are suggesting we kill her?"

"Her home is the safest place she can be. Earth is far more dangerous. Lucifer rules this world and it will not be easier for her when he finds her. But there will be problems if Lucifer finds out about her. There is no dimension that is safe. I do not understand if the world is about ending or what?"

"Lucifer? And besides, why would he even want her?"

"The devil has his ways Glinda. He cannot be trusted. He would surely find her when he knows she is alive"

"Lucifer lost his heir five thousand years ago. His main aim is finding a new one since he cannot reproduce an their more than once. Has he found a new one?"

"I do not know for sure but there are rumours that i do not want to believe"

"What kind....of rumours?"

"I do not know if it is true but he is alive"

"Who is alive?"

"The demon"

"No....no that cannot be true. I watched that demon die and burn to ashes. He was sent for a higher judgment and he is not supposed to come back"

" Drag'draluuth is alive. I have met him already"

"No....no this is not happening.....it cannot happen again. If he is back she is in more danger. He...he will kill her"

"And that is why we need to kill her before he does, she will be safe"

"I will not let you do that to her!" Madam Garcia shouted as she stood up in rage.

"If we kill her, we are making her suffer. She is the only one that could save us....our blood line. Despite the fact of what happened to her, she still came back. I will not let you hurt her"

"Yes. There are a lot of things you need to know which i cannot feed you on but the underground and afterlife worlds are a wreck. Right now, he has not gotten back his memory"

"Where is he? Who....who is he?"

"I do not know who he is. I had met him in the forest sometime ago. He looked so much like him and he was in his demon form"

"No...no...no"

"Glinda you have to...."

"How the girl now? You said you would tell me how she is doing. How is she?"

"She is in dire need of blood. The blood bank is out rare blood and even if they had, i am not sure hers will have been available. We need blood quickly. I used my powers on her to stable her flow of blood though so you do not have to worry"

"You could take my blood, i could donate mine. Please just save the girl" She said as she bit her lips in utter helplessness. Why would this be happening right now? She could not lose this girl, she is just like a daughter to her, and besides she is important.

Too much important.

She did not care what it took or how long it will take, she just wanted her to be fine.

"Her blood type is just not any type of blood Glinda, hers is AB Negative. It is the rarest blood type but please come with me so i could check yours" He said as he got up.

Madam Garcia was O Negative. Where the hell will they find this rare blood group for her? This put Madam Garcia in panic.

They asked everyone in the hospital but it seemed there was no one who had the same blood group as Crystal. What will happen now?

Madam Garcia called everyone she knew but still there was no one...no one to help them. It seemed all hope was lost. It was hard to believe nothing could be done. Is that how a beautiful soul will leave this world? No that cannot happen...that just can't happen....not on her watch. But what could she do?

Just when all hope seem to have been lost, someone tapped her.

"Glinda you have to come with me now"

"But...."

"Please come on.....i sense something in the air" He said as he dragged her out of the hospital.

"But what....what is wrong?"

"He is here.....Drag'draluuth is here"
