1 Prologue

So before I start, let me ask you something...

Have you ever been in a situation where you thought you were doing the right thing, but ended up screwing things up even worse?

For those whom haven't... congratulations, but for those whom have experienced this, let me just say, I know how that feels...

Cuz right now, there are three bears and more than a dozen assassins trying to kill me just because I tried to play hero.

Stupid, right?

I'm 16 for fuck's sake, I should be going to school, doing my homework or sleeping by this time but here I am wearing a costume and hiding in the janitor's locker room trying to save a man who doesn't even deserve to be saved.

But what can I do, my gut told me to save him and here I am

Oh god, and the funny part is I usually call the people in my school pathetic, while there is me, the biggest one of all.

"<Chainsaw... who are you talking to?>"

I jumped and bumped my head at the shelf above me. It seems I've done it again, I kinda have a problem where I tend to speak out my thoughts... not intentionally, of course.

"Just thinking out loud," am I ever going to be used to earpieces... nope. At least I had Scopes over on the other side.

Being alone here would have been the worst.

Or maybe, I should have asked the others for help as well instead of being stupid enough to think I could do this on my own.

"Where are you now?"

It took her a moment before answering me, "<I'm inside the building, in the server room.>"

This would be one of those moments where I snap at the person, but I know better than to do that for now?

"So, any ideas on how to get out."

"<Try blocking the door first.>"

"I'm pretty sure I said how to get out, not get stuck."

"<Well, I can't have you killed now, can I?>"

That made sense, and so I look around for something to block the door and the obvious choice would be using the lockers, but the thing is, these are heavy so they would make a lot of noise.

I see a pack of hair clips which I can use to lock the door... hopefully until I fully block it with the locker.

As I try to get the hair clips, the door opens, and one of the assassins enters the room. He's looking at me, but he doesn't seem to see me.

Yup, I don't know how but the dude is looking around and I'm just there standing in plain sight.

I didn't know what was going on, but I wasn't going to ruin it. After searching around, he turns and leaves the room.

"What just happened?"

I was confu... oh shit, maybe that rumor about standing very still that you turn invisible was true after all.

OMG, did I do it.

"<Bitch don't go being crazy, I gave your suit an upgrade.>"

"Oh, come on, are you serious right now? This is sounding more and more like some cliche spy movie," but thinking about it now it might as well be, you know.

I finally locked the door, which for the record was not done with the hair clips but with the keys which were on deck nearby.

I look at the lockers and think about it again. Using the locker I can give myself extra time to escape, but that's assuming they don't hear me, which has a lower than 3.2% success rate...

Please don't ask how I got that number, just trust me when I say that it's accurate.

Is it worth the risk though... nope. I think I'll keep the door locked without the locker, "Ok locked, what's next?"

"<Took you long enough, now if you look to your left you'll see a vent on the wall.>"

I look up and there it was.

I use the chair from the desk to reach up and open the vent, but then it slipped from my hands and fell down. The sound was loud, like really loud.

Then I start hearing footsteps getting closer to the door, and then someone starting banging on the door loud.

There was no time to go down and close the vent, so I go in while Scopes was navigating where I should go. As I was moving around in the vents, I felt this immense pain in my shoulder right before hearing a bang.

Obviously it was a gunshot, that's shots were being fired at me. They must have figured it out, that I'm here. Lucky all of them were missing or was it that I was moving too fast.

Soon all the holes from the shots made the vent weaker that it broke down with me in it.

One moment it felt like zero gravity, but with the vent pushing me in one direction, and the next moment, water...

I must have fallen into that aquarium on the first floor.

The last thing I remember was seeing something red, probably blood...

Maybe from the fish, but it was from me.

I felt dizzy and my head hurting.

Shit... If I get knocked out l might drown, and that would be the end of me, but...

There was absolutely nothing I could do about it, since I couldn't feel my legs, couldn't feel my hands, and ultimately everything turned pitch black.
