414 Exaggeration of Profit

Sofia could only calculate how to turn the tables and somehow make something out of the new contract. 

Initially, she had allotted a budget for the parking space project. The amount was very reasonable and Maxwell and his team also agreed to it.

But now, this allocated fund became 50% only of the cost that they would need to spend. They needed another 50% to comply with this new contract! 

Sofia suddenly felt conflicted but was certain that it has something to do with the founder of Maxwell's company. Mr. Denver must have really seen an opening and directly grabbed the opportunity!

'I wonder if It is a mistake of delegating those corporate positions to them... Never mind, giving them these roles will be beneficial for me in the future. It's my fault for not guiding Derek about the kind of scheme.'

Sofia stared at the file for too long until Claire noticed the change in the light atmosphere around them. "Sof, is there something wrong?"
