2 A Life

Florence feels annoyed when she sees all her employees blaming each other. She threatened, they would be fired if they continued to make a fuss.

"Mrs.Florence, she should be fired," said Betty, pointing to Hanna with mocking gaze.

Floren saw the cake that had been decorated and looked at each of her employees who were there.

"Who's decorating that cake?" asked Florence.

Hanna raised her hand up while lowering her head.

"I am, Mrs. Floren" answered Hanna.

"Your decor on this cake is beautiful. Now take it out and bring it to my friend's table. I will follow later," said Floren.

"Okay, Mrs. Floren," replied Hanna.

"Hanna, don't forget to wear a mask to look hygienic," said Floren.

"Yes, Mrs. Floren," replied Hanna.

Hanna walked out with Beni who helped her bring the cake to Floren and her friend's table.

"Mrs. Odilio, good morning. Here's the cake," said Hanna.

"Wow, that's amazing. This is what you guys made?" asked Agatha.

"Yes, we made it," replied Hanna.

"Okay. Thank you," said Agatha.

"My pleasure," Hanna replied.

After they finished serving all the cakes, they immediately left the table of their Boss's friend.

In the kitchen, Floren was still scolding Betty for always blaming Hanna.

"Betty, I haven't heard you yell at Hanna once or twice. I'm not defending anyone, but you're also a worker here. If someone else helps, I'm sure she has potential. You should not need to worry if you believe in your abilities. You better go home now and come back next week. One more thing, your salary was cut because of you," said Floren.

"Mrs. Odilio, I'm sorry," Betty begged.

"That's enough. I have a business and you are going home now. I will give you a week off and reflect on everything," said Floren.

Floren leaves there, leaving Betty who is still begging him not to force her off.

"I told you that you should think before you do anything," said Adel.

"You're both parasites here," Betty replied.

Betty left the kitchen and slammed the door loudly making Adel shake his head and Hanna who was still taking notes on the customer orders became even more certain that something had happened.

"Adel, where is Betty going?" asked Hanna who had returned to the kitchen.

"She was told to take a vacation first, then her salary was cut," Adel replied.

"Mrs. Floren said that? I have to say sorry for Betty. She's the breadwinner of the family," said Hanna.

Adel saw Hanna was about to go where Floren held her hand made Hanna surprised.

"Adel, what's wrong?" Hannah asked.

"Hanna, don't interfere in the boss's business with Betty. You might be the one being fired. You're just a professional at work. That's also a consequence of her because she keeps doing things," Adel replied.

"I feel bad about Betty," said Hanna.

"I know you're a good person, but you have to think about yourself too and have you established yourself for all the consequences that you will receive if you interfere in this matter," replied Adel looking at Hanna.

Hanna shook her head. She did not want to be fired just for taking care of other people's business.

"Sorry, Adel. I'm silent for now," said Hanna.

"Yes, that's better," Adel replied.

They finally resumed their respective work after the long conversation was over.

Floren and Agatha, who were already at one table were talking, but the conversation was interrupted when Agatha's cell phone rang, revealing the name of her husband Agatha.

"Yes, I'm at Floren's cafe, my friend," said Agatha.

"Honey, tonight we will eat together at our home," said Oscar.

"Yes, there must be something important to discuss, right?" asked Agatha.

"Yes, later our children's friends will also be present. They want to build a business that I don't understand, that's why I invited them to our home," Oscar replied.

"It's okay. I will tell our maid to prepare everything," replied Agatha.

"Okay. Honey, thanks. See you at home," Oscar said.

"You're welcome," replied Agatha.

Agatha smiled at her husband's words, then she hung up the phone.

"Your husband is romantic. From high school to getting married and having children nothing has changed. How many children do you have now?" asked Floren.

"Two. My child that you have seen at that time was my first child, but indeed my child was closed," answered Agatha.

"Oh. I also can't see your first son face clearly. I saw him at that time when he was about to get in the car to go to work," said Floren.

"Yes. His face is also rarely exposed. Usually, he is a mysterious businessman," replied Agatha with a chuckle.

"Unless you. You can see your son's face," said Floren.

"Yes, of course. I want to order a cake for dinner with my family," said Agatha.

"Yes, I'll call the waiter to give you the menu," replied Floren.

"Okay, thank you," said Agatha.

Floren called the waiter to bring the menu. Not long, the waiter brought the menu book for Floren.

"The most recommended menu in this cafe is fruit cheesecake," said Floren, offer the menu book to Agatha.

"I want a healthier cake, but it's delicious. Is there any recommendation?" asked Agatha.

"It has lime tart and it's not too sweet. There is also a traditional pie or you want this raspberry cheesecake, this cake is made with fibre oats, so it's healthier," answered Floren.

"It can be raspberry cheesecake," said Agatha.

"Okay. One raspberry cheesecake," replied Floren.

Floren called the waiter and ordered a cake for her friend. After ordering, they chatted again.

Lunch time had arrived and several employees went together to rest, while Hanna rested alone in a simple restaurant. She had an appointment for lunch with his friend.

"Hey, you're Hanna?" asked a man.

Hanna looked at the man face from above until she realized that the man was her friend.

"Oh, you're Victor," said Hanna.

"Yes, it's the same as in the photo," replied Victor.

"Yes," said Hanna awkwardly.

"Let's sit there. Do you have eaten? Absolutely not yet lunch, right?" asked Victor.

"Not yet, but thank you. I can eat everything, it's just a break," Hanna replied.

"Oh. I ordered spaghetti and salad, what do you want?" asked Victor.

"Don't worry about it, I'm okay. I choose same with you," Hanna replied.

"Really?" asked Victor.

"Yes," replied Hanna.

Victor smiled at Hanna and went to order food because the restaurant uses a self-service method. After Victor had ordered food, he sat back down with Hanna.

"Where do you work?" Hannah asked.

"I'm a programmer at the Odilio Company," Victor replied.

"Wow, your job is cool. I feel inferior," said Hanna, scratching the back of her neck that did not itch.

"It's okay, I'm still an employee there. We've only known for seven days, what are your activities?" asked Victor.

"It's been seven days and you've been crazy for seven days. Since we're in the same country, we just met," Hanna replied.

"You're so funny," said Victor.

"What's so funny?" Hanna asked.

"That's hard to put into words," said Victor.

"There's more," replied Hanna. She patted her forehead.

Victor smiled at Hanna who was so sweet in front of him. He fell in love at first sight.

"Is this what they call falling in love?" mumbled Victor.

It didn't take long for their food to arrive and the waiter immediately put it on the table.

"Let's eat. I guarantee this food is delicious," said Victor.

"Yes, the food looks delicious. I hope it tastes good too," Hanna replied while shoving the food into her mouth.
