1 Chapter 1 - Prolog

A CEO of the Vind company which operates in the gadget sector, he is seen arranging the job application files of prospective new employees. At a relatively young age, Nicholas has become CEO at only 25 years old. He became CEO thanks to his hard work all this time.

This also cannot be separated from the prayers of his family who accompanied his career path.

"Sir! Here, there are some documents that you have to sign?"

Secretary Nicholas provides daily financial records of the company that must be signed.

" Oh yes! thank you."

"Now, can you go back to your work room now?"

Nicholas, ordered his secretary to resume his work.

Nicholas looked at the contents of the document he received from his secretary, before finally signing the contents of the document. This document contains the monthly budget issued by the company.

As the day began to approach evening, the time for Nicholas to return home finally arrived. He spends all his time after work with his family. In his house there was only his mother, as the only parent he had.

At home, he himself has 3 servants and 2 gardeners to take care of his house which is considered very large and luxurious.

He wants to place 1 more maid to take care of his mother's needs, but this is still in the selection stage. Because of course Nicholas didn't want his mother to have a maid who behaved badly, especially towards her mother.

Nicholas looked at his watch and rushed to the maid selection place which was not far from where he lived.

"Selection time should be 8 pm. So I still have time if I go home now!"

Nicholas went to his destination using his private car. Today he drove his own car because the private driver asked for 2 days off because one of his relatives had died.

Nicholas drove his car at a fairly standard speed, because he still had plenty of time to get there.

However, when he arrived at the intersection, a car was driving at very high speed, breaking through the roadblock separating vehicles from the opposite direction.

Nicholas, who did not have time to dodge, was also affected by the accident. Nicholas' car was hit and dragged 7 meters away from the scene.

In the car, Nicholas, who was still breathing, tried to call for help.

'h-hellp..."

His strength began to weaken over time. Until finally someone opened the car door which was near the side of where Nicholas was sitting, because the door next to Nicholas was badly damaged by the collision.

The woman managed to get Nicholas out, but not before she thanked him for helping her. Nicholas fell unconscious because he seemed to have lost a lot of blood.

After being unconscious for a long time, Nicholas finally opened his eyes.

He saw that he was in one of the rooms in the hospital.

"Where am I now!"

"Why am I suddenly here?"

Nicholas recalled the last moment he was taken out of the burning car.

Before he could see the figure who had saved his life from death, he fainted first. So Nicholas didn't know the face of the person who had saved him.

"Someone saved my life, but who is she?"

Beside his bed stood his mother and her fiancé who was going to be arranged for him by his own mother, although Nicholas was not yet sure about the match made by his mother.

However, for the sake of his mother's happiness, Nicholas accepted the match, even though in his heart he didn't like the woman his mother chose at all.

"Mom.. "

"Nicholas! Are you awake, son?"

Like most mothers who are worried about their child's safety, Nicholas' mother hugged him tightly, even though Nicholas himself couldn't move his body at the moment.

After the death of his father 4 years ago due to an accident, Nicholas only had his mother as his only family. So Nicholas himself didn't want his mother to be sad just because of him.

Nicholas' fiancee, Lala, looked at Nicholas with a worried expression. However, Nicholas just averted his gaze from Lala and tried again to calm his mother.

"You're awake, darling!"

Lala told Nicholas' mother that she didn't need to worry anymore, because Nicholas had regained consciousness and soon the doctor would come to check his condition.

It seemed that Lala's persuasion had succeeded in calming Nicholas' mother. Finally, the doctor who would provide information on Nicholas' condition arrived.

The doctor told Mother and Lala to leave the room while he checked Nicholas' condition.

Lala tried to convince Nicholas' mother to leave Nicolas' room, while the doctor would focus on examining Nicholas' condition.

"Auntie...! Let's go out for a moment, let's leave everything here to the doctor."

Lala took another look at Nicholas before he left the bedroom area, but it seemed that Nicholas was still ignoring her.

Since she was first betrothed to Lala, Nicholas had always ignored her. He never once asked her to talk, perhaps their closeness was only visible when they were in front of her mother.

Their relationship was created due to the arranged marriage of their parents, where his mother was a childhood friend of Lala's mother, Lala's mother had actually died since she was born.

Lala herself cannot feel the warm love of a mother. So he already considered Nicholas mother like his own mother.

Nicholas himself was examined by a doctor for several hours, after the doctor left Nicholas room. Nicholas' mother immediately approached him.

"How is my son current condition, Doc?"

"He in fine condition at the moment, so there's nothing to worry about."

"Right now he needs to get enough rest, so I suggest not disturbing him for the next few hours."

Lala tried to convince Nicholas' mother again, not to think too much because Nicholas' mother's condition was currently unstable.

"Auntie! You should worry more about your health, Lala doesn't want you to fall ill again."

Nicholas mother has a history of heart disease which means she is not allowed to think too hard.

In the room, Nicholas thought again of the woman who saved him from the burning car.

He didn't have time to say thank you at all, because at that time Nicholas had already fainted.

"I wonder who that woman is?"

"I promised myself, if one day I meet him, I will thank him properly and if possible I will immediately propose to him."

Nicholas also remembered that he had a lot of connections with all his employees.

Nicholas also plans to hold a competition where the person who succeeds in finding a woman who has the same characteristics as the woman he is looking for, will win 500 million. That amount of money was nothing compared to the woman he would meet later.
