Chapter 10

Blake's POV

It's 7 pm already, I picked up my keys and left for Poiur'e restaurant. Gavin thought it would be fun when Miss Ryan finds out I'm friends with him. And I'm actually curious about what her reaction will be, but I'm more excited to see her outside of work attires.

Miss Ryan has been a great assistant this past week, her work efficiency has been nothing short of perfect, what surprises me the most is how she conducts herself. Normally, my two previous PA's will always become timid whenever we meet with any other CEO but Miss Ryan has always been confident no matter who we are meeting. And that is fucking sexy

Pulling up in front of the restaurant, I gave my keys to the valet and got in.

"Good evening sir, do you have any reservation" an attendant by the door greeted

"Good evening, and yes under Kingsley" I responded to which his brow raised

"I'm sorry sir, but the only reservation we have under Kingsley has been occupied" he professionally responded

"That should be my table, I'm here with them" I told him

"Well then, their seat is on the last row over there" he pointed

"Thank you and have a good evening" well I'm respectful, he might just be an attendant but it's a honorable job, it brings food to his and his family's table.

After walking for a while I spotted Gavin who was facing me with a slight smirk and two ladies whose backs were on me. One must be Evelyn who I haven't had the pleasure of meeting and the other would be my PA, Miss Ryan. The two ladies were concentrated on the menu list. I decided to announce my presence

"Hope I'm not late" I said with a smile.

I noticed Miss Ryan tensed at the sound of my voice while Evelyn turned around her surprised blue eyes meeting mine. I smiled at her

"Nah man, you aren't late" Gavin answered while I walked over to the only empty seat available, which unsurprisingly was in front of Miss Ryan's seat.

"I told you I had a surprise for you Paisley, well this is it. Blake here is my best friend since diapers" Gavin introduced with a big smile

"Small world, Good evening sir" her voice greeted

"Good evening Pa... Miss Ryan, I'm hoping we could drop all the formalities for tonight" I almost called out her name

"Sure" she responded

"And this must be the lady who made you a lovesick" I said while looking at Evelyn

"Fuck yes man! Meet Evelyn Cole, Cherry this is Blake Crosby" Gavin awkwardly introduced. My friend is definitely hooked cherry I snickered internally

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you Evelyn, I have heard so much about you" I told her. Gavin has been blasting my ear off with stories about her these past weeks and I'm glad he finally had the balls to name their relationship. She is beautiful

"Same here, although he never did tell me your name" she gave Gavin an accusatory glance

"I'm sorry, at first he was out of the country, and we just met so I didn't tell you about him and when he came back I found out Paisley works there so I decided to introduce everyone during dinner" Gavin explained nervously "I'm sorry" he muttered when he noticed her gaze hasn't changed.

I took my attention away from the two and looked at my PA who immediately looked down. She seemed uncomfortable or was she nervous.

Obviously, she will be uncomfortable, I mean her boss at work is right in front of her for what seems like a double date dinner. I felt bad since neither I nor Gavin took into consideration how she might feel.

Before I had the chance to start up a conversation, a waitress who according to her tag was Lucy came over for our order. Miss Ryan and Evelyn cheerfully made their order.

Gavin noticing how silent the table was scoffed twice " common guys, we aren't mourning are we, Paisley I don't know you to be this quiet"

"Well I'm out of topics" she awkwardly laughed.

"So Blake tell us about Gavin especially his embarrassing moments" Evelyn questioned to which I smirked

"No no no no! Don't do it man please" Gavin pleaded but I can't be rude to the ladies

"Sorry man, what the lady wants, she gets" I smirked at him

The evening was filled with laughter, even Miss Ryan became free and jovial, she teased Gavin on some of the stories I told. It was fun but what made it more fulfilling was the fact that I got her laughing genuinely and it was a beautiful sight I wished I could paint.

The ladies excused themselves and left for the powder room, and at that moment I was glad we will be leaving here soon. She wore a grey evening gown that accentuated all her curves. Damn she is beautiful

"Do you need a bowl man?" asked Gavin looking serious

"Bowl, what for" stupid me didn't get the joke

"Well your drool will soon flood the whole building" he responded smirking

"Ha ha ha" I dryly laughed

"Don't hurt her dude, that lady is not just my girl's friend but my friend too. And I won't want to lose either of you" Gavin told me with the I'm serious right now look

"I won't" I have already decided, in as much as she is pretty, kind, caring, hardworking, I won't lose her just because of my lust.

"Never say never man" he sang

"I'll get a cab guys, do not worry about me" I heard Miss Ryan say to these two who can't wait to get home

"No bae, we'll drop you home" Evelyn promised

"And stay with you both in a car, no thank you" she chuckled

"Blake can drop you off, his car is dope I tell you. And I'm sorry Paisley" he suggested

"No there is no need to, I can get a cab. And you don't have to apologize" she protested

"He is right bae, let Blake drop you off or you ride with us. I can't let you ride a cab alone" Evelyn said. She then walked over to Miss Ryan and whispered to her ear

"Alright then, that's if you're OK with it Mr. Crosby" she asked. Finally, my opinion was needed. 

"Sure, why not" it's going to be torture. Pure torture but then I can't let her go home all alone. I need to know she is safe!

"Thank you then" she said and hugged Evelyn warning her to be safe. Well we all know what she meant because Evelyn turned crimson red.

The drive was silent, a comfortable silence. Shawn Mendez never be alone was playing and the lyrics made us both uncomfortable but it would be weirder if I changed it. Since I was listening to Shawn's album earlier on his Mercy played next. To which she hummed to

"Thanks for the ride, I appreciate it" I was surprised when she told me the street she lived in but when I saw the building she lived, the surprise was doubled.

"It's nothing Miss Ryan, moreover I have a condo just two streets down so it wasn't too much of a task" I told her.

We both stayed silent for some seconds

"Goodnight" she said smiling

"Goodnight, see you on Monday" I told her with a smile too. And I drove off while she went in.

That night I slept with a silly grin on my face.

Paisley POV

Thinking back to the surprise Gavin had for me, I couldn't help but chuckle at how small the world is.

I slept off with a smile
