Business trip.

I walked behind Morris as we entered the waiting room at the airport. My sight landed on the person I didn't want to see the most and his eyes were now fixated on me. No room for escape.

Eddy's eyes filled with excitement and relief as he looked at me. For a reason, my eyes didn't leave him and the urge to talk to him rose even more.

Where was the anger I had right now? I promised myself to have nothing to do with him if I ever cross paths with him again but here, I was itching to hug him tighter.

Morris paused his steps maybe because he felt that I was still in position.

He followed the line of my sight and saw that Eddy was walking in our direction. His long legs were defined perfectly in his denim trouser jeans. His upper body muscles were clearly seen in his white long sleeve tee shirt. He hurriedly walked in our direction.

Morris held my hand protectively and stood in front of me to face Eddy. He had been disappointed in those people after all this time I have been outside and they didn't even mind searching for me.

I saw Eddy's sight land on my flat belly with questioning looks. My belly was naturally flat so it was evident that I wasn't pregnant anymore. I lowered my head as he stood silently in front of us.

"Kim.." he weakly called me and I looked up at his almost excited expression.

He was about to grab my hand when Morris stopped him by holding his wrist. I was quiet all the time and just looked at him blankly. I didn't know what to do or say at the moment. Be happy and embrace him or remember all and kick his precious ass.

"Eh.. please Mr. Edson Williams, what do you think you are doing?" Morris said angrily as he pushed Eddy's wrist away.

"What do you mean am doing? I want to talk to my woman?" Eddy shouted, sending chills in the air.

"Oh, good for you Edson. So now you are the angriest one here? After letting go of the woman who bared your child? And do you know how much she has gone through until now? Do you even have a heart, Edson?" Morris's questions were now attracting attention and people started whispering.

"I'm sorry Kim. I tried my best to find you but I couldn't. I was dead worried." Eddy instead calmed his anger and apologized to me. I was almost falling for it until he mentioned trying his best to find me.

What did he mean by that?

"Let's go, Morris," I said unexpectedly and pulled Morris's hand. I couldn't stand in front of Eddy for a minute longer or else I could lose my self control.

"Kim." I heard him call while running behind us but I gritted my teeth and walked evenly faster without looking back.

I stood in front of the washroom mirror and washed my face to calm myself down. I thought I heard learned to hate him after I lost my pregnancy but now, I didn't even blink when he stood in front of me. His scent covered my nostrils and his voice made my heart flatter with an indescribable feeling.

Fortunately, I had Morris to remind me that I didn't need to show Eddy my soft side.

I wore my black mask and eyeshades as I walked out of the bathroom. My dress code had also changed when I appeared in the waiting room again. I wore a black cap to cover my hair and someone couldn't just recognize me at a single sight.

I sat on the waiting couch with memories occupying my head. I remembered how Eddy took care of me when I had lost my sight. He didn't even care about his work but cared for me.

Did he just avoid me because I got pregnant and decided to tell it to the elders without minding the impact? What happened to the attention he gave in the early days? Until it was my turn to check in did I stand up from my seat and push away all the questions I had.

After all, it was me to ask them and remain hanging with no answers.

Hong Kong

The skies were blue and the weather was relatively favorable for all kinds of activities for the day. It was already afternoon when we reached the hotel we had booked.

The room was not Presidential suites but they were classy and luxurious at the same time. My room was only a door away from Morris's room.

I laid my tired body on the bed and looked up at the magnificent white and gold ceiling.

I noticed that my back had been uncomfortable ever since I had a miscarriage. Sometimes it was pained and sometimes it felt extremely heavy.

[Come out later. Let's have dinner downstairs.] Morris's text message popped on the screen of my phone and I read it out loud before I advanced to the bathroom for a quick shower.

I wore a knee length gray floral dress and a pair of blue sandals. I cornrowed my hair and headed for the hallway.

I knocked on Morris's door patiently till it opened widely. A white towel was wrapped around his waist and his muscles were freely out. I didn't give him many looks and sat on the swing chair inside the room as I waited for him to dress up fully.

"Two glasses of wine. Thanks." Morris ordered as soon as we sat down in a three star restaurant while looking at the menu. We both ordered honey sesame chicken after a long time of wanting to taste everything on the menu.

Eddy sat silently in the business class on a plane to South Korea. He was disturbed and a little bit absent minded. His arms were crossed on his chest in a bossy manner but that was different from his current mood.

He has gone places he thought Kimberly could be but he found her nowhere but surprisingly, they met at the airport today not in another country but in the same city he has been looking for her.

But what caught his attention, her belly was flatter than the time she left his mansion. Did she get rid of the pregnancy after the negative reviews she got from the family or did she just lose weight? He didn't want to conclude falsely so he didn't dare take anything he thought for an answer.

He massaged his forehead lightly and threw his head backward. He didn't want to give that Morris a thought. He knew Kimberly and believed that she couldn't be loving Morris. They were just friends, right?

He landed safely in South Korea and headed for a mansion that was under construction.

The next day, the temperature in Hong Kong was just perfect. I wore my official outfit and a pair of not too high shoes.

Morris wore a simple but eye catching blue suit and a pair of well polished black shoes.

We were meant to meet a bigger client and we encouraged ourselves before we headed for the arranged address.

In a private room of one of the five stars hotels in Hong Kong, I was breathing in and out rapidly to calm my worried heart. Morris was sitting beside me and he only intertwined his palms together.

We waited for almost forty five minutes before a young lady in her late twenties entered the room followed by a man with white skin. He was her assistant.

We stood up in respect as the lady entered and we greeted her. Morris was a genius in Chinese so they talked together until the meeting adjourned.

Throughout the time, I didn't know what they talked about but Morris kept on handing her proposal papers that we had worked on a few days ago while I was still at home.

We left the hotel after an hour of meeting the lady who turned out to be miss Su. She was beautiful and she had brains. She was an outstanding person judging from her looks and seriousness when they talked business.

"How did it go?" I asked Morris who only smiled and looked up at the sky.

His eyes shone with relief, excitement, and triumph.

"We are set to sign the contract tomorrow Miss Kimberly Alberts. Thanks for the hard work." he turned and said excitedly.

I shouted with happiness as we got into the cab to go back to the hotel. It went smoothly as unexpected.

We met at a different hotel for contract signing the next day. My role was to look at the contract with ultimate attention before any signature was written on it. Good enough, it was translated to English this time and I did what I was good at before Morris and miss Su signed the contract.

They shook hands together as they were officially working together. The happiness in my heart was unmeasurable...
