LUCIAN'S POV

My body felt heavy as I tried to open my eyes. I was in the forest in the Chugach mountains and wondered how I got there. I moved around and realized that it was Freki, standing on all fours. Checking my surroundings, I was near the waterfall in Mount Chugach but the stench of blood, Cinnabar, and dead bodies filled the ground.

I staggered back and the ground shook underneath. My mouth opened into a large growl but nothing came out of it. No sound. Was I in a dream or was I dead?

" Kill, " I heard a loud voice growl. In seconds bodies of young wolves fell on the ground, one by one, broken bones and mutilated all over.

" This prophecy is yet to come." The voice continued.

" No" I yelled and rushed to save the wolves when they turned to ashes and disappeared. The water flowed from the mountain and mixed with the blood and then I heard the rumble of the mountain and then all was quiet.
