FIRE ON FIRE

Lucian'S POV

Conri's doubts and attitude made me sulk in the office until late in the evening. Elder Zaya had warned me that Conri was stubborn and that I needed to be prepared. Since he marked me last night and declared that I was his, I hoped it would lay all the doubts to rest.

Zeeb knocked on my office door, interrupting my thoughts, and walked right in.

"You want to talk?" He asked as he sat on the corner of the desk and his eyes bore down on me.

"There is a chair there. Go sit down," I snapped and pointed at the other side of the table.

"What the hell is eating you up? Your mood is affecting the office. You can't take it out on us. "Zeeb retorted.

"Nothing I can't handle," I muttered.

"Go home, Lucian. And talk it out with him. "Zeeb advised.
