Can We Start Off As Friends?

Mo Zhexi was raging inside and wanted to kill that bastard that touched her. How dare he laid a hand on his love!?

"What happened to that guy?"

Xu Wenwen looked at Mo Zhexi with a confused look. She took out the gift that had been put inside her handbag and opened it.

He really did give her a dreamcatcher and there's her favorite dandelion design on it. It's beautiful and suited her taste. She smiled.

"Do you believe in the dreamcatcher's myth?"

"Whether I believe it or not, I just want to help you get rid of the bad memories you have."

Xu Wenwen was touched by his words. While she was thinking what to say, Mo Zhexi spoke.

"So, can you give a me chance to pursue you again? You've turned me down before because you're afraid the same thing would happen. But this time, give me a chance and give yourself a chance. Don't turn me down."

Xu Wenwen bit her lower lip. He's right. She should move on and give herself a chance. She will not let the same mistake repeat. But, she was still hesitant to accept his pursuing.

"C-can we start off as friends?"

Mo Zhexi thought his ears must be broken. He heard Xu Wenwen said to start off as friends?! He must be hallucinating. He decided to asked again.

"...? May you reproduce the assembling of the words in the equivalent order by following the same oral pattern you used a few thousand milliseconds ago?"

"???"

"What I meant was that can you repeat what you've just said?"

"I said can we start off as friends first?"

This time he heard it clearly. He couldn't believe she wanted him to start off as friends. There's no way he could do that. He wanted her to see him as a man not a friend.

"Xu Wenwen. Are you serious? I'm trying to pursue you, not be friends with you. Do you understand?"

"I-I know. You can pursue me while being friends. That way I can get to know you better."

Mo Zhexi was utterly speechless by her reasoning. Chasing her was a difficult mission to accomplish. He will have to change his method in pursuing her.

"Okay. You win. We can start off with being friends but you can't stop me if I wanted to chase you. You have to be mentally prepared too. I will make your heart pound with my action. And I'll definitely let you know I'm the right guy you will be with in this lifetime."

Mo Zhexi was very confident that he will make her fall for him. And he didn't give Xu Wenwen a chance to back down.

The way he acted was kind of domineering with a hint of childishness which made him looked very cute in Xu Wenwen's eyes.

"How about we place a bet? Within two to three months, you will fall in love with me. If I lose, I will give up on you. If I win, you will never escape me."

"Okay. Game on."

Xu Wenwen's mood have been lifted back up and she agreed without knowing what Mo Zhexi had in plan.
