Keeping His Enemy Close
Cheng Han frowned on the other side, "Boss"he begged. "Are you sure about it?"he asked. Qiao Nuo glared at Yi Chien. "Tell them to send the final draft by Friday, and I'll consider."Yi Chien said "also tell Lin Sen to meet me at G site tomorrow." he added then he hang up. "What's your plan?"she asked. "Keeping my enemy close."Yi Chien replied. "I don't care about Lin Sen anymore, you're just wasting your time."Qiao Nuo said. "Stop acting like a jealous husband."she added.
"I'm not jealous."Yi Chien defensively replied. "Yeah you are, you sound so upset right now."Qiao Nuo said. "No I'm not, Song Yi Chien never get jealous."he pouted, turning his back away from Qiao Nuo, he went straight to bed. Qiao Nuo sighed seeing him act that way.
The next morning Yi Chien left early to met Lin Sen at the said site. "Thank you for considering our proposal."he politely said. "Qiao Nuo told me about your relationship."Yi Chien started. "Long time ago."Lin Sen replied as if trying to avoid the topic. "Why did you came back now? I heard your doing well in America."Yi Chien said. "Part of it was for business, and some personal affairs that I need to finish."Lin Sen replied.
"Why did you asked to meet me here?"Lin Sen asked "Just to observe, and see how we work around here."Yi Chien replied "Follow me"he said, then they started walking around the site. Cheng Han started explaining the usual routine, while Yi Chien stayed quiet the whole time. The conversation was soon interrupted by one of the project manager. "The cement mixer on P1 is broken boss, I called the fixer but they said shipment would come tomorrow."he said.
"Start shoveling then."Yi Chien ordered but his two employee look at each other. "Boss three P1 employee called in sick today."he apologetically replied. Lin Sen fake coughed seeing the situation in front of him. Song Yi Chien removed his coat, and rolled his sleeves. "Boss"Cheng Han called. "Hand me the shovel, I'll do it, cancel all my meetings today."Yi Chien said.
Lin Sen also started rolling his sleeves. "What are you doing?"Yi Chien asked "Helping out"he replied. "I won't pay you."Yi Chien added. "Let's just say, I'm trying to close a deal. I used to mixed cement with shovel for a living, don't worry."Lin Sen assured. The two men headed to the said part and started mixing cement with shovel. Hours did passed, and Yi Chien looks more pissed than usual. "How did you and Qiao Nuo broke up?"Yi Chien asked. Lin Sen chuckled. "Why are you asking me that question? so weird."Lin Sen said.
"I'm sure your wife did a good job explaining the situation."Lin Sen said as he focus his attention on mixing the cement. Yi Chien didn't say another word as he started mixing the cement as hard as he can. Lin Sen also tried to catch up. "WATCH OUT"an employee yelled as a big chunk of metal was about to fall on them. The two men both have good reflexes that they were able to catch it on time. It took a while before the rescue came in, and they have to hold on the metal material for a while.
Yi Chien was left furious, he stopped the construction while Lin Sen watch everything. "Fire all the responsible people for this accident and relocate all other staff."Yi Chien ordered Cheng Han "Yes Boss."he said then Yi Chien walked back to his car. He felt a sharp pain on his right shoulder before he could even open the car door. "AGH"he yelled in pain. The next thing Yi Chien knew was he woke up at the ER department. Next to him was Lin Sen who was also being treated for minor injury. The after effect of holding the material way too long.
Qiao Nuo who was busy catching up with her work was interrupted by Shanshan. "If it's not someone getting buried alive, don't say it."Qiao Nuo said with her eyes still focus on the computer. "Mr. Song got into accident at the site."Shanshan replied. "Which hospital?"Qiao Nuo asked. "Yin"Shanshan replied. "Don't answer any calls, and if someone ask where I went tell them I have a meeting with a client."Qiao Nuo said grabbing her car keys she rushed out of the law firm.
