8 Dinner Party

They arrived at their destination at exactly 7:30 pm; however, there were a lot of cars in line going into the venue.

Amy was amazed by the place. It has a big iron gate and a long driveway with rows of flowering trees. Even though it is nighttime, the area is well lit so passers-by can see the garden beyond the driveway.

While waiting for all the cars in front of them to move, Amy didn't notice that Henry moved closer to her and started playing with her ash-brown hair. He then took the bunch that was sitting on her shoulder and smelled it.

He whispered, "I like how your hair smells, I wonder if your other body parts smell this good too."

Amy pushed away Henry's hand and looked at him with a flushed frowning face.

Henry then pulled her closer by the waist and whispered.

"Don't look at me like that I might change my mind, and take you right here, right now. You don't know how much your rosy face is arousing me at this very moment."

Amy was speechless. She doesn't know how to react or what to say to this shameless man.

To her relief, the car finally stopped before this man could blurt out more dirty and vulgar words to her ear.

Henry went down first and he handed over his hand, Amy took it elegantly as they faced the red carpet going to the venue. She was astonished by how grand is the mansion in front of her.

She thought they were going to a five-star hotel but now that she was facing it, she realized it was someone else's home.

Amy placed her hand on Henry's arm like a good girlfriend but Henry had a different plan in mind.

He held her by the waist like a possessive lover announcing to everyone that she was his alone.

Amy was very nervous as she noticed that everyone seemed to look at them while they walked the hall to the main ballroom.

Amy can't help but ask, "Is it just me or is everyone really looking at us right now?"

"Get used to it baby, from now on all eyes will be on you," he replied.

He then kisses her head while still holding her waist as they approach the main ballroom door.

When they entered, Amy was amazed by how luxurious the party was.

The ballroom was intricately decorated with different kinds of colorful flowers, crystal chandeliers, silver-colored Chiavari chairs, and round tables with ivory linen covers that showcase sophisticated gold embroidery.

Everyone was dressed elegantly and she was sure that everything here, both the decorations and what the people were wearing was expensive.

She didn't notice that Henry took two champagne glasses and handed one to her.

"I hope the drink is to your liking," he uttered before taking a sip.

Amy did the same; she doesn't really drink so this is her first time tasting champagne.

"I can't say I like it or I don't since this is my first time drinking something like this."

Henry smiled, and there was something in his smile that made her smile too.

It was so angelic and adorable that she just wanted to stare at him cherishing that moment.

"It's my pleasure to be your first drinking buddy. Cheers to your many firsts with me," he then clinked his glass to hers.

The angelic smile turned into a mischievous look as he wiggled his eyebrows several times, which made Amy laugh.

"I believe I am your first kiss too, am I right? And if I'm lucky I'll be the first to introduce you to heaven too," he said with a smug face.

Amy understood what he meant. She was so embarrassed that she carelessly put her hand to his mouth to stop him from talking, afraid that someone might hear him.

But Henry licked her palm; she quickly removed her hand and wiped it on her dress to dry it off.

"Gosh! You really are outrageous aren't you?!"

Henry couldn't help but laugh at her reaction.

"Why would you say so? Would you prefer my tongue in your mouth rather than on your hand?" He teased Amy while grinning.

"You…" An old man then approached them, stopping Amy from her what she was going to say.

"Henry! You are late, people are looking for you, I told them you'll be meeting their daughters today, but it seems like you already made your choice," he then extended his hand to Amy.

"Hi, I'm Trevor, call me Uncle Trev, so when is the wedding?"

Amy gaped at him before she could blurt out some words.

"I-I…" Thankfully Henry saved her from that situation.

"Uncle, this is Amelia Bell, my girlfriend, and she hasn't said yes to my proposal."

Amy looked at him with a vexing look, 'What kind of proposal is that, it's more of a sales pitch, hmmp'.

"Ahhh… time is running Henry… Nice to meet you Ms. Amelia Bell and enjoy the party," he then tapped on Henry's shoulder and went away.

Henry noticed Amy's questioning look. "He is my uncle, the current Chairman of the company," he explained.

Three other men then join them and again Henry proudly introduces Amy as his girlfriend.

Amy was getting bombarded with questions by the people who approached them. After some time, Henry finally got the chance to escape those people with her.

"Whew, that was suffocating," he drank the champagne in one go.

"Why do you keep telling them I'm your girlfriend? I haven't signed the contract yet," Amy protested.

Henry put down the glass and cupped her chin pulling her closer to his face.

"Because you are. It's not like you will decline the contract anyway. Plus even if you decline, I won't allow it. I've already tasted your lips and I want more of you."

Amy pushed his hand gently away from her face.

"I'll be the one to decide on that after I review your conditions and demands. Who knows there might be some hidden clauses in there."

Henry laughed at her remark and raised his hand to touch her face, "As you wish my angel."

Everyone's attention is then called by the event's host who instructs them to take their seats to get ready for the program to start as the servers start serving their meal. It was the annual get-together of their company and it is a tradition for the chairman to throw a lavish party every year.

Henry led her to the table in the front near the stage. Uncle Trev is also at that table plus five other people.

The dinner went smoothly. The people in their spot talked about business and nothing else which made Amy enjoy her meal without someone interviewing her.

After dessert, she excused herself to go to the ladies' room to freshen up.

As she walked back towards their table, she was grabbed on the wrist by someone strong. A man with a familiar build, it was so fast that she wasn't able to recognize him until they stood at the end of the hall.

"What are you doing here Amy?"

Amy's shocked face was then replaced with a big smile, she hugged the man grabbed him, and squished him tight.

"I'm so happy to see you, Ash! When did you come back? You did not call me, are you hiding from me?"

Ash went on a business trip with his dad after accompanying Amy to the hospital last week.

"I just got back an hour ago and went here right away. I thought I saw you walking towards the ladies' room, so I waited outside and I'm right, is it you! You didn't answer my question, what are you doing here?" He inquired.

"Well it's a party, am I not allowed to be here?" She reasoned out obviously avoiding his question.

"You know that's not what I meant, why…"

He was not able to finish his question for a forceful arm suddenly wrapped around Amy's and she was pulled away from him.

"She's with me," Henry declared.

Ash frowned and glared at him.

Amy knows the meaning of the looks on Ash's face and tries to de-escalate the situation. She knows that Ash is head over heels in love with her. He tried everything to win her over but she rejected him every time.

"Ash this is…"

She was immediately interrupted by Ash.

"I know who this womanizer is, you shouldn't get acquainted with him. Let's go, Amy, I'll take you home."

He then grabs Amy's arm but his wrist is violently stopped midway by Henry, making Amy nervous and panic slowly trying to overcome her.

"Don't touch her, I'll decide when should my girlfriend go home."

Ash clenched his fist upon hearing his announcement.

"Girlfriend? How dare you!"

Amy then moved in between the two men, in an attempt to calm both of them.

She knows how good of a martial artist Ash is. They both took different martial arts classes when they were young until they settled on Mixed Martial Arts to this day.

She doesn't know anything about Henry but she surely doesn't want him to get beaten by Ash.

"Can you both please calm down? Why are you getting angry at each other?" Amy almost begged.

"Don't start a scene here. It's embarrassing! You're not children anymore; gosh… you two are starting to annoy me."
