17 I LOVE YOU
Her appearance was pitiful and Ling Feng felt a tug at his heart. He ignored his guilt and walked over to the kitchen.
"I found this delectable food in the fridge. Come eat with me",
Wang Yu Yan followed him like a puppy being lured with a bone. She hadn't eaten all day. All her excitement made her forget about her stomach and neglect it. Wang Yu Yan didn't remember the last time she ate, she was beyond hungry at this moment.
Ling Feng prepared the food warming it up in the square box. The one Lady Ying Yue had shown her how to use.
She sat at the table on a very high chair. Wang Yu Yan needed time getting used to that. She had never sat on a chair that made her feel like she was actually still standing.
They ate in complete silence. Wang Yu Yan refused to look this man in the eyes. Not after he had just seen her fully exposed. This was her greatest disgrace. How would she face the world again? She was supposed to be a respected princess.
Ling Feng was enjoying the food but he was more entertained by the reserved demeanor of the girl on the other side of the counter. All this time he has seen her acting crazy but right now she reacted like a normal girl. At least normal enough for her.
This girl was expressive with her face. It was easy to read every one of her emotions. Until now he watched her carefully as she sulked over her bowl. She was cute.
"Did you cook this", he decided to attempt at talking to her.
The girl glared at him for a moment. She shook her head and dropped her gaze to her bowl of rice again.
Ling Feng scratched his head. Didn't this girl like him? Why then was he the one trying to be nice here and she was the opposite?
Ling Feng slammed his chopsticks on the counter and went to his room.
Wang Yu Yan was not surprised to see him leave like that. He seemed to really like to exit rudely. Ever since she met him he has been leaving like that. She stayed in the kitchen for a while and when she heard the light switch turn off in his room. She stood up and looked around to see if she was really alone.
Wang Yu Yan wondered about the big house.
She ended up in a huge room with a big screen on it. Earlier that day Ling Feng's mom had shown her how to switch it on and off and all the other instructions. Wang Yu Yan was a fast learner so she caught on very fast.
She took the rectangular box with buttons and pressed on it. Immediately the big screen came to life and people started talking through it again.
When Wang Yu Yan first saw what it could do this afternoon. Her curiosity was left in the clouds. She had been dying to explore this machine all day.
She continuously pressed the buttons and kept passing through different images on the screen. Soon she stopped as something sparked her interest. She increased the sound and planted the big doe eyes on the flashing screen. It was completely dark around her. The screen gave her some light.
Wang Yu Yan watched play after play and even cried in some of the stories she saw. She didn't know how long she had been sitting there when she saw the screen go blank.
"Ahh!", she was annoyed because the show she was watching was starting to get to the good part.
She pressed the rectangular box turning it on again.
Her moment of relief was cut short as the screen went blank again.
"Retarded screen. I command you to stop turning off",
She switched it on again but it went blank. Soon she pressed the box continuously but the screen did not react. Only a small light would repeatedly turn from blue to green over and over again.
"I am the 2nd princess of Guan Continent. I command you to adhere to my order. Or else you shall receive punishment",
Wang Yu Yan heard a giggle, "What are you going to do to it? Send it to the dungeon? Or let me guess, you'll execute it",
Wang Yu Yan turned around to find the tall man standing by the entrance. Somehow he was able to melt her heart every time she saw him. He was the most beautiful thing she had seen in her life. She used to spend a lot of time making portraits of this man but they couldn't compare to the masterpiece that stood before her now.
"Stop blushing, It makes you seem like you are just the innocent one and I am the bad guy",
"I love you", she blurted out.
Ling Feng coughed uncontrollably at the words. After he gained his composure he spoke the first words that came to his head, "What did you say?",
"I love you", the girl repeated as if she was just requesting a meal from the waiter.
"Why would you say such a thing? ", Ling Feng sounded as if he was offended.
Wang Yu Yan saw his reaction and started to panic. Did she say something wrong? This wasn't how the people on the screen reacted," You are supposed to say you love me too",
Ling Feng was flabbergasted, "You truly are crazy", he defiantly left the girl alone standing there in the room.
The girl was also confused but soon she flipped her attention back to the screen. She turned it on again.
However, not even a moment passed and Ling Feng came into the room switching it off again. He grabbed her by the back of her pajama and Pulled her off the couch.
She obediently followed the man pulling her by the neck of her clothes.
Once they arrived in her room he led her to her bed. He removed the slippers off her feet and instructed her to get inside the quilt. He made sure to tuck her into her quilt and soon left like a man with a purpose.
Before he went out of her bedroom he stopped at the door," Some of us need to sleep at night. Alright!", he said in annoyance and then shut the door behind him.
Wang Yu Yan was left with a pounding heart. Her entire body felt giddy and couldn't explain what she was feeling inside. He actually helped her to bed.
