Chapter 8: Devil in flesh

Though Virginia has been in the company for a while now. She has just been doing miscellaneous work around the office area since the big boss isn't back yet, but now she's going to officially start work as the secretary to the ceo, working in same floor.

So far the longest a secretary has work with the ceo, either male or female is one week. Virginia really hope she can last long in this job because she needs this job a lot and the pay is very good too.

But with the way things are now, maybe she should start sending applications to other company, probably Vincent won't want her there.

'Why why Lord, do I do a grave sin in my past life to deserve this ' Virginia thought while looking into the sky with hands put together.

This is a real nightmare to Virginia 'Can I still give up on this job '.

Oh hell no she can't, she already signed a contract of two years. This was the doing of the chairwoman, she's feed up with regular changing of secretary, so she prepared the contract. And in the Antinori family the chairwoman's word rule.

The whole country know about how the chairman is henpecked of his wife.

Virginia woke up groggily from the bed, she didn't have a good night rest yesterday since she cried most of the night and slept very late.

She took a shower, dress up and get ready for work. She look at herself as the standing mirror not far away from the bed, she was dressed in black pants and a blue shirt.

"You can do this Hannah I believe in you, umm how bad can it be", she spoke to herself while adjusting herself and checking out her outfit in front of the mirror.

She walked up to the shoe rack and pick up a black high heels to match the outfit, she went back to the mirror again and keep encouraging herself.

After she stepped out she realize Agnes is sleeping in since she's a freelancer and had probably worked on her story the whole night.

' She should step out once in a while ' she thought, but shakes her head, ' not my business I have bigger issues at hand now '.

'Anyway time to face the devil in flesh '.

But even after all the prep talk, immediately she got to the entrance of the skyscraper she still had cold feet.

After taking the lift to the top floor that overlooked the city, Virginia went to her cubicle and thought, ' I don't have to inform him that I'm around right '.

I got settled in and try to round up the files I have in hand, just in case he ask for it I won't have issues with him.

While making a finishing touch to the last file the intercom suddenly sounded and a cold and mesmerizing voice steep out of it.

"Coffee".

He talk like he's words were gold. 'Hmm, coffee ' trying to make me voice also sound cold, mimicking him, Virginia started making weird faces.

Virginia quickly went to get instant coffee in the office then made her way to his office, after a few breathing exercises at the door she opened it and get face to face with the Devil in Flesh.

"Good morning sir, here is your coffee", Virginia walked up to his table and waited wanting to know if she could drop it on the office table or go to the coffee table beside the sofa in the office.

"Drop it". Virginia hastily drop the coffee on the table.

He finally lifted his head but didn't even look at her but stared into the mug.

Finally looking at her without any recognition like yesterday, as if the day before was her imagination "Instant coffee?", He raised an eyebrow.

"Yes sir".

"Plain".

"Yes sir you didn't tell me how you like your coffee sir".

"Throw it out, also Venice FL Coffee"

"Okay sir", she quickly picked up the mug and step out, on stepping out she release the breath she doesn't even know she's holding.

Venice FL Coffee is in a busting area in the business distinct but a little far from the company but she went anyways, 'boss words rule'.

After getting back she gently dropped the cup. "Where is the milk", Vincent cold voice sounded.

"Oh I didn't know".

She rushed back again, this time he tasted it.

"Sugar"

She quickly step out to get sugar.

"It's cold, new".

It's now she realized he's just trying to punish her, also she also told herself to wear heels to work.

After the fifth time he was finally satisfied. He told her his schedule for the day until the following month. Through out that day she either run here or their.

Finally the day is over. She's feels so tired and her whole body aches.
