A weird dream

"Emilia, please let me sleep. I don't care if I have to attend detention classes again, I'm just so exhausted, I need some more sleep", I said without opening my eyes.

"Yorruu, can you heaaar me?"

Just now, I realized I hadn't been talking to Emilia. I was still soundly asleep and the voice I could hear calling my name was the one I heard many times before in my dreams. I opened my eyes and for the first time this dream got a bit clearer. It still felt fuzzy around the edges but I could somewhat make out what was happening before me, a humanoid silhouette was standing there and looked down on me. However, I couldn't tell if it was a hybrid or a human because the figure was lacking any detailed features. It didn't seem hostile though.

"Yooruu you finally opened your eyes…." the figure started talking to me.

"Who are you? Why are you haunting me in my dreams?" I asked but I only got ignored.

"You aren't ready for that yet, you barely reached the point where you can hear my voice clearly" it said after a short while. It seemed to have a hard time talking to me as it took a long break between each sentence.

"It looks like our conversation is coming to an abrupt end but once you gain more control over your celestial energy you will truly see what this is all about", the silhouette said and vanished right after.

I closed my eyes and as I opened them again, I was lying on an unknown bed.

"You are finally awake, sleepyhead. How do you feel?" I got asked by Lisa.

"Still a bit tired, what happened? How long did I sleep?"

"Well, you used more celestial energy than your body could handle which made you collapse in your duel against Iris. This made you sleep for a solid three days, I was getting worried already. I feel guilty because I didn't get you out of this as I thought it is better for you this way. I'm truly sorry, Yoru. Hopefully you can forgive me for not protecting you better", said Lisa in an unusual way for her. She looked a bit sleep deprived like she had been waiting for me to wake up all those days.

"No problem. In the end it was my decision to give it my best shot too. The sword you gave me made me feel full of power, like I could defeat Iris easily. Seems like I was wrong, though", I told Lisa to calm her down a bit.

"I think you would have won, if the fight had continued like that. Your synergy with the sword was on par with mine, maybe even better. The only thing you lack is experience and well, actual control of your celestial energy. Right now you are relying on pure instinct but it can't go on like that forever. There are certain drawbacks which come with this method like not being able to tell when you will run out of energy. Problem is, I tried every way I know to help you awaken your dormant powers but for some reason they remain locked. As if it needed something greater to be set free. Although I don't know what that is or the reason for it", Lisa explained.

"Well, go back to sleep for now, you will join regular classes again tomorrow. Iris probably also wants to talk with you but I think she won't be as hostile to you anymore. You made her realize why I took you as my disciple and this should pacify her. Anyway, I will head back to my room. I have been so worried about you, I could barely sleep these past couple days", she said as she stood up and went away.

I closed my eyes again and was happy with the results, but I didn't want to do something like this again until I'm able to grasp the power within me. Soon after, I slept in once again. This time no weird dream occurred and I woke up in the evening. The nurse told me I could leave whenever I wanted now, since he didn't see anything wrong with my body anymore. He also told me that Emilia is waiting for me in the waiting area of the nurses' office, so I headed there immediately.

As I opened the door, Emilia came running towards me with tears in her eyes. She was probably just as worried as Lisa was, probably even more knowing her. I embraced her into my arms and she barely wanted to let go off me. Telling her I was fine for the fifth time finally calmed her down enough and he both went on our way back to the dorms.

We entered the door and Noelle was running at me just like Emilia did earlier. The caretaker girl embraced me and told me how worried she was that the extra food I ate would go to waste. I could only laugh at her weird attitude but deep inside I knew she was also worried. After having had our dinner we headed straight to our rooms and there Emilia stubbornly demanded to heal me to get rid of any remaining wounds from the duel. In reality, I came out of it mostly unharmed, I just lost some blood when I feel unconscious.

However she still inspected every corner of my body to make sure I'm okay. I was feeling somewhat embarrassed by being so up close to her for so long but I let her do her thing in the end. Once I felt like she was overdoing it, I started to tickle her to make her stop and she bursted out in laughter immediately.

We had some more fun chatting for what felt like an hour and then we got into our beds. Today Emilia wanted to sleep in mine and I was too soft-hearted to deny her…
