Classes like assasin, mage, combat mage, builder, archer, etc existed, this gave humanity order and jobs to each person. The reason why his parents were bewildered was that most new people born after 10 years ago when the first Gates were open, awaken at 10 years old or later, so *name* was special as he awakened when he was born.
