The Me-niverse Theory

Vegeta Zor-El looked angry. "Obviously I would be ashamed of such a thing". If it wasn't apparent before, it was now. Future me never spent any time with this kid. I wasn't winning any dad trophies in the future. I could only sigh and sigh some more. "Have you changed into a great ape yet? Surely you have. Do you rampage as a wild beast or do you have control when you are in that state?" 

Vegeta Zor-El looked surprised at the fact I knew so much, but he still tried to answer my questions. "It was the reason why I could not live in Moonlight City with the rest of my family and friends. I was sure people wouldn't understand. I might have had full control while in that form, but the son of two of the greatest heroes in the world turning into an ape...."

I laughed at his words causing him to scowl but I didn't care. "Fool, you inherited your tail from me."

Vegeta Zor-El was skeptical. "You have never had a tail or turned into an ape before as far as I know though." 

I decided to tell him the truth and not bullsh!t him like I did most. "My tail was removed by a god against my will. Do not be embarrassed of your races characteristics, embrace them." 

At this time I got a call from a number I didn't recognize and so I raised my index finger in warning as I answered it. "Hello?" 

"Ah yes, have I reached the number for Prince Aeric?" 

"This is him, may I ask what you are calling for and how you got this number?" I tried my best to sound professional, this was my work phone and I didn't remember giving this number out to anyone except for a select few. 

"Ah, um, my name is Zack Snyder. Director Shane Black gave me your number after I had asked for it. I hope it's not a problem? I saw your recent film and I was hoping you would come in and read for a part in my new upcoming movie called three hundred. You would be reading for the main character King Leonidas. Shane has told me lots about you and I look forward to your reading if you are interested." 

Seeing Jenni arrive, I was aware they both knew my identity considering I had first spotted them at the concert so I continued with the call. "Yes, Id love to come in for that please just let me know when and I'll be there."

Zach gave me a date for the reading which was in a week and then we ended the call. At first I had thought about saying no to the reading because I now had enough money to direct a movie of my own and I was planning on doing that very soon, but then I remembered that I could be at two places at once and decided to just go along with it. The movie '300' was an excellent film in my old world and I was going to be reading for the main role, I didn't want to pass it up. Most new actors would kill for such a role. 

"Work?" Asked Vegeta Zor-El

I nodded in response. "You two can stay at Moonlight Castle for now until I have time to hear you both out, but Vegeta will need a disguise. He looks too much like me. I'll leave that to the both of you, but do a better job than a hat and sunglasses this time." 

Purchasing a hair growth formula for 1000c from the system celebrity shop, I then threw the potion bottle to Vegeta Zor-El. "Drink this when you have the chance, It's my way of saying sorry in future me's place." 

I couldn't do anything about his height because that didn't come in consumable form, but this was better than nothing. Looking at my son and his girlfriend I spoke up once again. "I can't tell you why, but I believe that time although set in stone normally, is bending to my existence and because it's bending instead of breaking and reforming or splitting apart, everything should be okay. If I am right, the laws of time that you know of have been thrown out the window. If this is not the case then you two come from a parallel timeline and this is not the past you think it is. Knowing how the legion rings work, I think my first theory is more probable. 

Vegeta Zor-El and Jenni both thought they had just heard a bunch of nonsense and they didn't really understand. This wasn't the first time they had time traveled. Although it was rare to time travel, there were protocols for a reason. Time travel had rules and if you didn't follow those rules, reality itself could be destroyed and now they had King Moonlight the Hero of all Heroes telling them to forget those rules and that they no longer mattered. 

Seeing their looks of doubt I added to my previous words. "I am an existence that was not originally part of this universe. Every move I made since my arrival to this universe is now canon and therefore any moves that happen due to me are also canon. My son coming to the past to see his dead mother was done through a series of chain reactions that started from me. You two being here means that it was meant to happen and is the new reality. 

Vegeta Zor-El seemed a little annoyed by my words. "Hold up, are you saying you are basically the center of this universe?" 

I saw no reason to lie. "Yes, but not basically, I believe I am. People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly… timey wimey… stuff. The universe is big. It's vast and complicated and ridiculous. And sometimes, very rarely, impossible things just happen and we call them miracles. My existence is exactly that."

Before my arrival, Superman was the center of this universe, but now he wasn't and I was. I didn't care if they didn't accept my theory or thought I just had a huge ego, it made sense to me. I decided to call this the Me-niverse Theory. A flashpoint was likely to never happen to this world with me being here and if it did happen, it would eventually fix itself like it had in the original Universe.

I honestly wasn't worried. If my theory was right, time wraiths and other time related beings like them would never come for me, they would go after the people trying to alter my timeline from it's intended path instead. 

"Is timey wimey stuff the scientific term?" asked Jenni as she rolled her eyes in disbelief. 

"Yes, a lord of time I know who has dealt with time extensively taught me that term." I replied.

A system notification for a new task had just arrived.
