First Wedding

The wedding venue was in the front of Moonlight Castle and the whole of the Justice league had been invited and so they notified the Thanagarians that they would take today off from helping them. The Thanagarians weren't happy, but what could they do? It was already decided. 

The invitations were sent three days ago after I had exited the training. They were sent to select people that I trusted and wanted to be at my wedding. No reporters were allowed on the scene and thanks to my castles defenses, it wasn't likely that one would get a scoop. We even opted out for a Catholic priest and decided to create a unique ceremony. The two of them would get the actual marriage document at the courthouse later that day.

It was a wedding with mostly Heroes in attendance aside from one person and that was my work friend Rob. I had considered it for a while, but since Rob was going to be working with me in the future and I planned to gift him an actual Iron Man suit, it was best he knew of my alter ego at some point. 

The construction robots had done most of the work to make the place ready for a wedding in such a short time and Hila wanted to be in charge of finding a caterer so I had left that to her. She had told me the other night that she was likely pregnant and so I discussed with her my biology and the risk's involved in such a pregnancy. I had also talked to her about my alter ego which to no surprise to me, she was already long ago aware of and just kept quiet about it. 

Walking around the wedding venue I said my greetings to many who arrived in Hero costume, Aqua man and his wife Mera, and even some people who had no idea why they had been invited like Rob and Nina aka Scream Queen. 

I was a greedy man that liked multiple flavors of foods and would never be satisfied with eating one kind of food my whole life. Luckily since I was a King, I was allowed to build a harem for myself, if anything it was expected. A King must have multiple children from multiple women in order to insure his biological line. Hila agreed with this and that was why she had long ago approved of the women I kept around me. She knew that one day they would be her closest friends and possible bed partners.

She had no problem with me having other wives or concubines as long as she would always be considered first Wife and that she would have priority when it came to certain things regarding our relationship. 

Having seen everyone had arrived, I slipped away to get ready to get married.

Robert Downey Jr walked around the wedding venue feeling out of place. He was the only non Hero that he could see. When he first received the invitation he thought it was for sure a mistake, but felt even if it was a mistake it was an opportunity of a lifetime. Who could say they had gone to a Hero wedding? Maybe someone at the wedding was a fan of his? Who knows. Having just recently been released from rehab, he was looking to have a good time and enjoy life. This fit the description and his only regret was that he couldn't bring a plus one. He would have invited his good friend Aeric. 

The invitation he had received asked him to wear a mask of some sort before attending and so he decided to wear a black domino mask figuring it was part of the dress code. The more he walked around the Castles front yard, the more out of place he felt. Maybe it was indeed an accidental invite?

'Holy Batf#ck was that Batman?' Rob was fanboying so bad that he almost made the mistake of running up and asking for his autograph. Having collected himself, he decided to go find his assigned seat which was on King Moonlights family and friends side. 'So King Moonlight is a fan of mine?'

Just as Rob had finally collected himself a gust of wind blew near him and suddenly sitting to his right was a man in a red and gold costume. The Flash. 

Rob couldn't take it anymore. His stomach turned due to his nervousness. "Shit, I think I'm gonna puke." 

The flash hearing the man next to him, raised an eyebrow underneath his costume. "Bro, that's hella Rude, Batman is sitting right in front of you and can hear you."

Rob was on the verge of a panic attack. "AH..um..ah.. .No I meant, I'm just so ...overwhelmed."

The flash smiled. "First time seeing the speedster in red up close huh? Take it all in, no need to be nervous. I'm a Hero just like you." The flash misunderstood Rob due to his mask and Rob was too on edge to correct him. 

Rob feeling a slight affinity with The Flash actually somehow did start to feel less nervous after hearing him speak. After taking a few seconds to gather himself he finally started to feel at ease. "No, I was talking about Batman this time."

Sitting in front of the flash and Rob, a slight smile was on Batman's face. 

The flash looked slightly annoyed. "..Hey, I'm supposed to be the witty and funny guy. Anyway, how do you know the Groom?" 

Rob thought for a second before answering. "I honestly don't know, I just got an invitation." 

At this time the lights dimmed a bit and the beautiful bride in the traditional orange and green Atlantean wedding dress was seen walking down the aisle escorted by the Chief Moonlight Knight Kryl. Hila didn't have a father to walk her down the aisle and so she decided to be escorted by a trusted Knight of her Kingdom. 

Rob wondered why the groom wasn't here yet. Wasn't he supposed to be waiting near he altar as the Bride walked up to him from the aisle? Did royalty do things differently? Many rumors had spread about King Moonlight that said he was not like most Heroes and was not much different than the usual street thug. He was known as being cold to even those around him. Honestly he had even heard that King Moonlight had locked the future Queen Hila away as soon as marriage had been proposed. 

Looking at the future Queen in question, she didn't look unhappy, in fact she was absolutely glowing and looked as happy as a person could be. Maybe the rumors were wrong?

After Hila was at the end of the aisle and Kryl had left her, she was now up at the altar all alone. Had King Moonlight gotten cold feet? Almost as if to answer his question, a spotlight came from above and shined behind him on the aisle which showed a man who he was very familiar with. A musical tune started to play before Prince Aeric with a guitar in his hand and a headset mic on began to sing while very slowly starting to walk down the aisle. 

Aeric had began singing Third Eye Blind - Mine.

Most in attendance were flabbergasted. Even if Prince Aeric was a fairly well known Celebrity, how can he be so bold as to profess his love for the King's wife in front of everyone? Didn't he know that King Moonlight was not one to be messed with? The flash and Rob both had their mouths and eyes wide opened in shock. "Holy..." The two said almost at the exact same time. To their further shock, Prince Aeric continued to sing without anyone stopping him.

Prince Aeric was now in the middle of the aisle as the music began to pick up and he looked into the eyes of the still very much smiling Hila.

Prince Aeric was now in front of Hila and had began to start dancing with guitar still in hand.

Hila was reminded of when they first met and found herself more in love than ever as Prince Aeric sat the guitar to the side and transformed into King Moonlight in front of everyone.

The silence could be heard as King Moonlight put a ring on Hila's finger before the two shared a long and heartfelt kiss in front of their family and friends.
