"I don't want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need",hummed Cattleya as she sat before her mirror,her doe eyes flashed with an unknown emotion. After taking a last look at the mirror and satisfied with her appearance then skipped down the stairs. The Christmas ball was held as usual at the Marlowe Manor. She noticed her parents chatting to the guests and there was her big brother Adrian as he held his wife possessively in his arms.

The blonde beauty giggled and wondered how would it be to hug the love of her life or to kiss him. Shooing the thoughts away she ran off and tackled her parents in a hug and as usual their eyes sparkled with happiness and returned her hug.

"When will he arrive,papa?"she asked her father.

Being one of the most influential people,Brandon Marlowe never feared to look in people's eyes but in front of his beloved daughter,he was afraid to tell her the truth or worse -hurt her. He couldn't look in her eyes.

But Cattleya got her answer. Not again,she thought. She excused herself and fled to her rose garden. Not wanting to show her tears she wept without making a sound. She looked around and saw everyone having the great time of their life even her so called friends were having a blast.

A hand gripped her own hand she looked up to find her sister in law Leah and clutched her in a bone crushing hug. She complained to her soul sister Leah about him. Why does he always do this to me,questioned Cattleya as Leah murmured soothing words in her ear.

Tears rolled down her cheeks as her heart bleed once more.
