31. Drunk

Tyler POV,

"Tenor!?!" What the hell!! I move from my chair as fast as possible , I reach where he is sitting with his head on the table , everyone is startled , even Tayler hasn't moved a muscle , grandpa checks him.

" He's fine ,, I think it's the wine , he doesn't drink and that's why it has affected him like that." He says.

Everyone is releaved and surprised at the same time, I can't believe him, just a sip and he passes out , hah and he pretends to be so cool , he can't even handle wine.

" I'll take him to his room ." I tell them, I've been meaning to ask Tenor what happened to his family but I didn't know how to start that topic, we haven't really gotten along since the first day, I had told Tayler not to ask him anything to do with that but today I must know.. I know this kind of drunkards , they always get drunk later after some sleep , Dylan is one of them . And the good thing about them is that they always talk pure truth when drunk so am gonna ask this idiot when he wakes up.

"He'll wake up anytime soon from now." grandpa says .

" How do you know that?!" Auntie Cara asks him.

" I had a lot of friends in college who are like him."

" But I should still take him in his room, he can't just sleep on the table." I insist.

" Tyler, I don't think that would be a good idea, I mean , if he wakes up alone in the room and we're down here all of us, won't it feel like we've isolated him?" Kyler,,, my cousin says and others supports her idea.

Tayler stands, "I'll stay with him until he wakes up " hearing that I change my mind .

" I think Kyler is right, he should just stay here." I say ,, I can't believe am betraying my sister like this , but am not doing it on purpose, I really love Tenor too and I've been trying to get rid of my feelings for him but I can't, they are just so strong that they push me to do stupid things !

Everyone goes back to eating , I hesitate going back to my seat, "Babe, come back your food is getting cold." Lexy says. And people are like 'awww' until she's feel embarrassed.

Tenor is sitting opposite me but I feel like he's too far, I go back to my seat, and continue eating , it's been almost 30 mins why isn't he still waking up , he should be up by now .

Before I even finish thinking about it I hear him struggle calling my name..

" Ty..ler.."

He's up , but why is he calling my name of all people?! I rush towards him , he's raising his head holding it as if it's heavy , "Hey , are you okay?" 

" My..Hea..d."

" I'll get you some painkillers." I say as I start walking but he holds my hand , what the hell is wrong with him, is he still drunk or what?!

" I.. want.."

"You want what?"

" Hold for me , I..drin.."

I cover his mouth because I think I might have an idea what he's talking about, I can't believe this, is it because I held the glass for Lexy to drink and that's when he took Tayler's drink and drunk it, he wants me to hold it for him, he can't even handle a sip.. idiot..!

Realizing that when he's drunk he says alot of nonsense and he could say anything, I decide to get him out of here "I think you need some more sleep c'mon , I'll take you to your room."

Tayler, "I'll help you take him."

Tenor, "No he..takes me ...alone and we...Conti.." 

" Stop talking rubbish! C'mon, I'll help you up." I cut him , I knew it, this idiot really says anything when drunk, now he's talking about the store incident.

" Why are you so heavy, stand up . " I try to lift him but he's just too heavy.

"Let me help you." he pushes uncle Miles away .

"No .. I stand." he stands support himself on me.

" Your.. family.. so toge..ther.." he talks dragging words as he points at them "My family no more hah..all so betrayers." After he says that I see everyone's curiosity written all over their faces .

" What happened to your family." Tayler asks him.

" No ! " he doesn't want to talk about it so I don't want them to pressure him about it.

" C'mon, let's go." I tell him trying to dragg him , I don't like it how he sounds when he talks about his family, like he's so broken, my mood changes because of it.

"Wait!! why.. you look..like that..?" he asks in a loud voice.

" Like how? Stop being stubborn and move." I tell him but he still refuse to move .

" You.. want.. to know..?" he ask .

" Do I want to Know what??" I ask him, I realize they are all looking at us, Tayler doesn't look so happy about this, Lexy too.

"My family..hah? okay.. I tell you,,you alone,, don't make that face, I tell you alone, don't tell anybody,,okay?" He's still talking loudly,,

My goodness, if he's gonna keep behaving like this towards me am afraid everyone is gonna think there's something fishy between us. So I refuse no matter how much I really want to know. I can ask him when we get in his room.

"No, it's fine if you don't want to talk about it."

" I want.. to tell.. you now...you don't ...want hear?" He ask sitting back on his chair as if mad and broken at the same time.

" I want to know." I tell him feeling guilty for making him think that I don't care about that.

He smiles idiotically after hearing that , "okay, I whisper.. Only for ..you.."

" Okay" I say.

" They betray my dad." he says still loud and everyone in the room can hear him even when he said he's gonna whisper..but his eyes are glued on me.

" Who?" I ask.

"Mom tell my dad my brother is not his son but for Uncle Griffin."

" Who is uncle Griffin?"

"Father's brother. " my goodness, his mother cheated on his dad with his dad's brother?!? How inhuman .

"My older brother Angelo, and mom hates me since born." He continues.

" Did your brother know that your father is not his father?"

" Yes, he hate my father too,,, mother convince my dad to sign the company with her name and she become CEO, dad love her so much, he give her everything she wants, they take the companies money and the company goes down Everytime until they don't work anymore,

When she was leaving with her beloved son she tells dad, ''"when I came here I was pregnant already, with Griffin's baby who is Angelo..my sweet darling baby, if you hadn't insisted for me to give you another child ,you wouldn't have any child now, I didn't want to do it, I did it just to accomplish my mission and if it wasn't for Griffin to tell me to give you a child I wouldn't have ever given birth to this good for nothing thing,.. know that you and Griffin are fair now , you pay for taking everything away from him'""

 he was talking imitating I guess his mom's voice. I don't know what to say anymore, most us are crying. He continues.

"When dad couldn't take it anymore and was about to die after two weeks, he told me that their parents had two companies they give them one each but uncle Griffin did not manage it well so it died down , grandparents love my dad and support him because he work hard. Uncle Griffin was jealous that dad prosper and open two other branches , he decided to use a beautiful lady to make father's companies collapse too and when they heard that dad died they run away to another country, the three of them I don't know where.

Grandparents died and I don't know any other family member, so other people from dad's company help me bury him, I cry and stay in house for two months, that time I was 18years...one day I remember that my own mother called me 'useless thing' and I decide from that minute not to cry again and am going to raise dad's companies once again and see if am useless , so I work day and night without eating without friends but I work with other people but no friends. Because if family can betray family what about people from outside. So no friends."

How is he able to tell all that without a drop of a tear, I can't bare it anymore, he looks at me in the eye and asks , " You will not tell anyone that my mother call me useless thing?"

" No , I will not and don't worry, now that you are here everything will be fine , now you have us."

" I have you?"

" Yes.. you have me. " he hugs me .

Everyone is still looking at us , their eyes so red as if they just took bhung.

I hear him snoring queitly near my ear, he fell asleep?!?? I stand with him leaning on me ,, I look at everyone "Please, what you've heard let it remain in this dining room when you leave , even if you're going in your rooms or whatever places.. let it remaine here ."

They all node and I head upstairs to his room, I lay him on the bed and remove his shoes, I take the duvet and cover him, as am about to leave he holds my t-shirt , "Ty..ler.."

"Mhn?"

"Stay.." he says still holding onto my t-shirt.

What?! Was he even sleeping?

" Go to sleep , you're talking in your sleep." I tell him trying to remove his hand .

" Stay, please." he repeats while his eyes are still closed.

"Okay fine , I'll be on the sofa, let my clothe go, am staying."

" Hold me to sleep, I can't sleep well when I remember those things from before, I have nightmares all night."

" I can't do that Tenor, I'll ask Tayler to stay with you tonight."

" I want you..Just you." he say repeating as he emphasizes on the words ' you' . Damn what is he doing.

"Please, you said I have you from now own."

why are you giving me false hopes Tenor, am even starting to think that you feel the same way about me, from before when we were about to kiss he was conscious and now...

" Okay fine, let me lock the door then I come back."

" I'll go with you."

"You don't have to come, am coming back I promise."

" No!"

" Don't you trust me?"

Hearing that question he let's go of my t-shirt hesitantly, I lock the door and go back, I lie on bed, facing the other side , he moves closer and holds me from behind. "Thank you." he whispers .

" No need to thank me." he doesn't say anything else and once again I hear him snoring queitly.

'This feels so right and so good at the same time' I think as I drift off to sleep.
