Chapter 16 Through the Foggy forest
Shao Qi entered the tent of Princess Yunxi without knocking while keeping his face up in the air, he saw her chatting with Yuan while they fix Yunxi's hair
"ah, isn't this the beautiful princess of Ju state!!!" he said and led himself inside, Yunxi looked at Shao Qi walking towards her with an arrogant face is they stopped
"I am- The second princess, May I ask who you are?" Yunxi said
"ha-" Shao Qi rolled his eyes on her looking like Shao Qi is disgusted
"you have no right to know me, By the way I am the second father of the prince that means I am also your father in law-"

"hep-hep don't speak, I will be guiding your etiquette as a lady of the temple and how to take care of Jin- all my command should be done if not I'll punish you!!!" Shao Qi glared at her before he left like a mad mother
"Who is that? he's so mean!!!" Yuan said
"I don't know? second father of the prince! is everyone young!?"she complained knowing his second father in law does not like her
"that no good noble looking man dare to command you- their prince is ugly what's there to be so arrogant about" Yuan mumbled
"that's right why is he the complete opposite of the kind biological father" things went bad and serious after Shao Qi stepped out and the spark of cat and dog has begun
by morning everyone set off towards the capital, everyone was silent but some are joking while the two inside the carriage is bored and playing something more boring
"father, why do we have to go to the capital?" asked Jin
"the king wants to see your bride or even command her to bring you to him!" says Fei Xu
"why do they want me at the castle now that I'm older?"
"I have no idea son, but I know they are planning to kill you, you are a catastrophe Prince and officials of the palace voted to kill us both that's why we need to plan and survive to take the throne!!" Fei Xu's eyes were serious
"Dad- I promise when I come back I'll help out with your investigation- and also?" Jin could not hold back anymore and spoke
"what is it?"
"Dad when I sneaked out of the temple, I went to a nearby village to play and explore but the second time I went there, the village was completely burned down, many were injured and some young man and women went missing, I ask someone who witnessed the fire and they said a Zhu state soldiers came at the middle of the night killed everyone and took young people!!!" says Jin, Fei Xu was red but kept his anger at ease
"Dad don't you think my uncle is killing everyone for no reason?" says Jin
"perhaps your uncle is crazy!!!" Shao Qi said, he was behind them all the time and hearing Jin's story also made him mad too
"Jin, when we arrive at the capital? stick with the senior Assassins and don't go anywhere"

"Jin'er!!" Fei Xu glared at his son
"Alright!" he frowned
The troops arrived at the capital at noon heavily guarded with assassins and other palace guards
"look it's the princess of Ju state!!"
"I heard she is a beautiful girl?"

people are whispering people are complaining and people pity Yunxi, althought she can hear them she just kept quite knowing her destiny is really nasty like a rotten food, she is still not ready to see her husband, but prince Fei Xu said he is not staying at the palace but gonna go at the Dragon temple
"princess we are now at the capital? but- but aren't we just gonna meet the emperor?" asked Yuan having the most fearful face
"yes, we're not staying at the capital, we're just here to hear his majesty's order then we will set off to Dragon temple!" she said
"why must we suffer so much, I heard the road going to Dragon temple has beast forest and illusion fog!" Yuan cried, Yunxi was kind enough to hug her and comforted her
Jin looked around examining the area, he can't help but smile and feel exitement looking at the people and tall building towering his gaze, the buildings are exquisite some are even painted into something expensive to the eye, there are pavilions and jewelry store around, the blocks are 2-3 or 4 but the walls around the capital is taller larger and stronger.
what caught his attention is the loud competition of people at the market trying to convince costumers that they have something better, there are displays of Jade hairpins, pouches, clothes and food, food that makes his tounge wanna try some of those sweet fruit or steamed bread that lingers his nosetrills mixed with more delicious food odour, but he stopped smelling after they passed through the market of meat where it smelt rotten and stinky, making him gesture to his father
"My nose are sensitive!" he complained, Fei Xu looked at the faraway meat vendor and chuckled
"you are enjoying so much!!"
"Jin are you that exited?" Fei Xu asked knowing he can feel Jin's heartbeat
"yes Dad- I mean you highness!" he said
he's being careful not to tell Xu he is his father or else anyone can hear
they arrived at the palace gate and led Yunxi at the throne room where everyone greeted her with tiger eyes, her head is covered with veil and her red wedding dress made her look beautiful
Lin was sitting at the throne, next to him is his son who look so arrogant
"who do we have here?" Lin chuckled and came down the stairs
"take off your veil princess Yunxi!" hearing Lin's voice made her tremble in anger, the emperor who wanted war and kill innocent people is standing in front of her
Yunxi just kept quite and lifted her veil showing her pretty face more attractive than the princess of Zhu
Mei stared at her with dread so Yunxi stared back not backing down
"princess aren't you beautiful?" Lin said showing a face
"thank you your majesty" she bowed
"Diánxià I brought my daughter in law- this afternoon we'll be setting off to Dragon temple!!!"
"really? oh what a pity!" Lin stared at Yunxi
"Yunxi my dear aren't you afraid-" he said, Yunxi glared at the floor, it was the emperor who arranged this marriage, and now he is mocking her like she is full of pity, Yunxi did not respond, Fei Xu looked at her with worry
how he wish he got Prince Fei Xu's handsome face but thinking about the portrait she just back away
"how about this Yunxi- you stay at the palace and marry my son the crown prince and we'll prepare someone new- Am I right Brother!!" he laughed
Fei Xu did not speak and did not want Yunxi to stay but her decision is hers if she wants to marry the vicious crown prince known for having many harem
"well do you chose my nephew Yunxi!!" Fei Xu glared at her
"Princess- if you will be my wife I can even make you my empress!!!" Prince Tian offered
but Yunxi was disgusted and did not hesitate to refuse
"I'm sorry Diánxià, crown prince" she kowtowed, the father and son was dumbfounded and made a face
"I'm married to Prince Fei Lin, even if we never met we both signed the papers for marriage" she said
"but my cousin is ugly and has skin disease, he even carry the blood of a monster!!!" prince Tian was upset, Fei Xu was offended and wanna slaughter off his head but now is not the time, he just roll his eyes and felt a bliss of happiness because his daughter in law is kind enough to refuse, must be one of the bravest people to refuse his majesty
"Diánxià, I'm a doctor and a healing fairy, I think I am the blessing of the prince since you let me marry him to cure his highness prince Fei Jin- I thank you your majesty!!" she bowed, Tian was upset while Lin was interested
"hmm, since that is your decision, then I'll let you go and marry shame!" says Lin, Yunxi bowed and said more thanks to mock the crown prince, the fact that seeing her enemy everyday, and feeling the aura of the palace makes her cringe in danger, she'd rather live at the temple with her deseased husband than these vicious peole looking at her with tiger eyes
"Diánxià, then I'll be taking my daughter in law to my son-" he smiled and gestured Yunxi to follow
"wait-" Lin commanded making them both stop
"don't forget in the next few month, it's gonna be my birthday, I want your son Fei Jin home!!!" he said, Yunxi looked at Fei Xu who look serious
"I will bring him here Diánxià!!!" he said and left
Jin is heavily guarded himself, the senior assasins surrounded him in circle making sure he will not escape
"why can't I go to the market with shūshu!!!" he complained, but speaking of them they came back with a bag of foods and powder for food experiment, Jin loves his Master's foods but they suck sometimes
"Jin have you been behaving!!"
"I did" he said
"Master the bride is coming" Jin looked at their direction and saw Yunxi in her pretty dress covered in red veil
"hmm, we're just in time?" says Shao Qi
"aren't we gonna rest at the mansion?" Jin asked
"Nope, the Emperor wants to kick us out in a hurry for refusing the Crown Prince!" Feng smiled and told him the story
"that's touching!!" Jin made an interested face and went to the carriage window next to Yunxi
"Princess why did you refuse the crown prince?"Jin asked
"How did you know that!" she asked
"hmm, my fath- I mean Feng is a big mouthed guard and told everyone- don't worry just us!" he said almost slipping his tounge
"Hish, I refused beacause I can feel that the crown prince is a womanizer and based on his look he is only after sex!!" she said
"oh!" Jin had another idea and asked another question
"princess, why did you chose our prince, he is really ugly, stupid, skinny and bald!!!" he said insulting himself, the other guards who heard him is eighter surprised or laughing
"wh-what? is your prince that ugly!!!" Yunxi said
"yes, his skin is watery and sometimes we have to look after him day and night because there are maggots forming in his watery skin" Jin laughed in his mind seeing Yunxi's worried face, her servant is also disgusted and decided to speak
"hey! don't scare my lady, and aren't you supposed to be defending your ugly prince rather than talk bad about him!!" Yuan slammed the window shut, Jin pulled his horse towards his father and laughed none stop
"ahahaha!!!" Fei Jin laughed
"Jin, stop scaring your wife like that, women are scary once they knew men are lying!!" Fei Xu explained
"tse, woman are all the same, they have two hearts and face!" Shao Qi rolled his eyes
"Shao Qi, are you that mad?"
"no, I'm just afraid that my Fei Jin will fall like m- I mean fall in love and will be weak because of a woman!!!" Shao Qi said, Master long made a face, he knew Shao Qi is lying
"No of course not, woman is not all the same some are just bitches!!!" Master long explained
"some are even kind?" Fei Xu added
"shush, Fei Jin be careful of that woman OK!!" Shao Qi glared at the two
they approached the middle of the forest, it was dark and eerie only the sound of horse shoe and carriages are heard, Jin sensed something from the trees so he alerted everyone
"everyone- dad, I sense movement!!!" Jin's eyes are gold and his aura is a little bad, Fei Xu was alerted and commanded Shao Qi
"there are assassins following us, Jin keep your eyes hidden and protect your bride!!" Master Long said, he just nod and kept his head low, meditating on the air to release some heat in his body
The assassins finally approached them, there is a large army not more than a hundred, the small guards around are alerted and the female followers brought out their weapons, they are all special since they are assassins from the temple, skilled and balanced with strength
Yunxi was startled when the carriage stopped, she opened the window and saw Jin with a close eyes
"hey assassin guy? why did we stop?" she asked
"stay inside and close the window, we are surrounded!!" he said, Yunxi panicked and closed the window
"princess what's wrong?" Yuan cried
"nothing Yuan, go to sleep!!" she hugged her
"who sent your assess?" Shao Qi spoke
"shut up!!! hand over the princess that belongs to the crown prince!!" one assassin said, Jin opened his golden eyes and the aura of bad air tingled them
"you dare to pass my family!!!" Fei Xu was angered and stressed called his golden eyes, he jumped out of his horse and start killing assassins, the other followed after, Master Long and Shao Qi also tagged along while Jin is guarding the carriage, Jin kept his eyes close and sense more danger
the air, an iron, a feather? Jin can hear it, a speed from the air like a bird
"arrows!" he said, Jin pulled a straight sword and knocked down the arrows coming their direction, there are more and assassins seem to be outnumbering them, their mission is to take Yunxi for the crown prince
Jin jumped out of his horse and started killing assassins who are after them, some assassins are even afraid co's he is in his golden eyes and his strength is sure strong
"what's going on!?" Yunxi yelled
