1 Cassandra's Strange Power

"Wait a minute, Grandma! How come you gave me this black stone?"

Cassandra was seen holding a stone the size of an adult's fist and staring at her grandmother, who was floating in front of her.

"You will keep me as the greatest black magician," the grandmother said casually. The elderly lady then shifted her weight away from Cassandra.

"But, Grandma, you know I'm not very good at black magic. Because of my ability in white magic, I am considered unique!"

In response to Cassandra's complaint, the old woman's figure simply smiled. She then resumed her steps away from the bright white light. Cassandra fell and woke up when she tried to chase her down. Cassandra has been having dreams for the umpteenth time this month.

Bruk!

Her slender frame collided with the thick carpet covering the floor. Cassandra's joints, however, continued to ache.

"I'm having the same dream for the fourth time! My words are even the same! What happened exactly?" Cassandra grumbled. She was about to lie down on the soft bed when she heard a knock on her bedroom door.

Cassandra cast a cynical glance at the door of her towering room, knowing that it was time for her to study black magic at the foot of Mount Aphamore with her father and Madam Rosaline, the teacher whom Cassandra thought was cruel.

The girl's gaze then shifted to the bright moonlight, which broke through the window she had left open. Cassandra immediately had an idea, so she took the wand from under her pillow and pointed it at the moon, saying, "Give me a little of your moon power."

The tip of the oak magic wand then shone brightly, causing the 18-year-old girl's face to widen. His hand swung the wand back toward the small red carpet beneath the window.

"Felahai rondu a---." she says.

Brak!

When the door to Cassandra's room unexpectedly opened, the girl panickedly threw her wand at the bed.

"CASSANDRA!"

An adult man in a black robe with a firm jaw approached Cassandra quickly. This man was Cassandra's father, King Aether Elazar Caspronhix.

Aether pointed his hand at the bed while staring intently at the child, and the magic wand that was lying down immediately floated to follow the movement of Aether's hand. Cassandra simply lowered her head in resignation, knowing that Aether would destroy the wand for the umpteenth time.

Crack!

The magic wand instantly broke and disintegrated into black ashes. "This is the seventeenth wand I've broken this month," Aether said, folding her arms across her chest. "Cassandra, stop messing around! When do you have to realize you're a part of a black magician? Every bit of white magic that enters your wand increases the absorption of your black power! Our family is a direct descendant of black magic! There is no such thing as mixed blood, and it never will be! This is the last time I see you using white magic. If you do it again, you will be imprisoned in the Tower of Seclusion! Now, prepare yourself! Madam Rosaline is on her way to the palace grounds!"

When Aether was in front of the door, he turned her body into a black cloud after saying that. Cassandra raised her head when the cloud vanished from her room. The lovely lady then took a deep breath and moved in front of the window.

"Gomiko... Gomiko..."

Cassandra half-yelled that name out the window. A small animal can be seen flying in the distance. Cassandra's face broke into a wide smile, and she spread her arms in greeting of the animal's arrival. As the animal approached, it was clear that it was a guinea pig with dragon wings. At the same time, the animal appeared strange and amusing. The guinea pig's furry head does not appear to match the bird's body.

"As usual, Gomiko, I have to leave right away. My father shattered my wand! You must assist me in requesting my wand to Mr. Lorex, I promise to bring you a bunch of grapes when I get home, okay?"

Cassandra appeared to be cupping her hands around the strange creature perched in front of her window.

"Stop making that stupid face, Cassandra! Do you have any ideas? Go to the white world is risky! I wouldn't have gone to help you if it hadn't been for the grapes!" chirps the strange animal.

Cassandra jumped for joy, then closed her eyes and pointed her hand at the Gomiko. On the other hand, Gomiko flew up and bit Cassandra's hand.

"Ouch! Gomiko, what are you doing? How come you bit me?" Cassandra screamed, moving her aching index finger.

"You don't have to shield me from your meager power! I don't want the spell to fail and harm me! Don't be clever, you can only use magic with a wand!" Gomiko flew out of Cassandra's room immediately after saying that.

When the girl looked at her hand, a reddish color with white light appeared in it. Cassandra sighed and closed her palms, staring blankly up at the sky.

"Why did I have to be born strange? Can you hear me, ancestors? I don't want to be so different," she lamented. Cassandra then took her robe from the wardrobe and exited the room, heading straight for her father, who was waiting with Madam Rosaline.

Hersteps were shaky, but he couldn't stop himself from following the training so that the black magic power within him could emerge. Cassandra, on the other hand, was well aware that even this training would be difficult for her due to the light that had appeared in her palm earlier.

Cassandra is the daughter of the king and queen of the Black Magic Power Leader. She is a pure descendant. In the world of black magic, no member of the black wizard caste can marry a mage, a caste of wizard who has mixed blood between white white wizards and ordinary humans. Unfortunately, Cassandra experienced a strange occurrence, which resulted in her instead flowing white magical power.

Of course, it tarnishes the kingdom's dignity, when a similar case occurred in the son of one of the black wizard, the king of Aether firmly banished the witch to the purple valley, where a black magician with the power of Cassandra resides. They were shunned and despised. Only Cassandra's immediate family members and Madam Rosaline knew what had happened to her.

"CASSANDRIA! QUICKLY!"

Cassandra was forced to flee by the voice of the Aether King, who was already standing in front of Madam Rosaline's dragon carriage.

"Hello, Cassandra, are you ready for today's lesson? I hope you will work hard because the celebration is in two weeks. Remember! This year, you must demonstrate your strength and compete with the son of the white magical kingdom, or you will fail! Okay?" Madame Rosaline inquired. Cassandra appeared to be given a wide, threatening smile by the fat woman with jet black lips.

Cassandra simply nodded resignedly and said, "Y-yes, Madam Rosaline."

"Great! So, let's get started. The black dragon is ready for training today!"

Cassandra was terrified and panicked as soon as she gasped and swallowed her saliva.
