50 Run For The Hills

Jules' pov

"So, have you decided on the sport you're gonna be picking?" Taylor asked, pulling me out of thoughts.

I glanced down at the slip of paper which had been distributed to everyone this morning. The paper consisted of a handful of sports, and every student is supposed to select one or more which they're interested in. Whichever sport they select is the team they're gonna join and practice with throughout the time we'd all be spending here.

Then at the end of our stay here, we're gonna be competing with another school, and everyone's parents will be invited to come watch.

I grimaced at the slip of paper, because every listed sport are sports I've never engaged in before.

"Which one are you gonna pick?" Josh asked, chewing on a lollipop. I shrugged and shoved the slip of paper into my pocket.

"I'm not sure yet, they all look complicated." I mumbled and Taylor snickered before waving his slip of paper in my face.

"You can select basketball and join me on the team, it would be so much fun." He suggested and Josh snickered while shaking his head at me.

"Don't listen to him, Jules. Basketball is mainly for guys who're really tall, and most predators are definitely gonna flock to that team." He explained and Taylor shrugged bashfully.

"But that's the point, I'd get to droll on so many hot alphas at once." He argued and Josh shook his head while laughing fondly and muttering about how unserious Taylor always is.

Joining the basketball team is now out of the question, avoiding a team which would be packed with predators should be my main goal here.

Taylor and Josh were still bickering when a familiar scent hit me right in the face, causing me to stiffen at once before slowly shuddering as I breathed the scent in.

I followed the scent to the very end of the large hall, and there stood Blaze, standing in the midst of three guys. As soon as our eyes locked, I swallowed emptily and at once, I felt my cheeks start to grow hot as some memories from last night and this morning began to flow through my mind.

After he had unexpectedly trapped me underneath his body last night, I had expected him to do a lot of things to me, but asking me if I wanted a kiss for being a good boy, wasn't one of them. It had made me shocked to the core, that I grew speechless as I blinked up at him for the first few seconds.

I was abruptly pulled out of my thoughts by Taylor's voice. "You're blushing, Jules."

"Huh?!" I demanded as my hands flew against my cheeks, and indeed, they were hot.

Taylor blinked at me once before following my previous line of sight, and then realization dawned on him and Josh.

"Did something happen between you two?" He asked tentatively and my eyes widened as I frantically shook my head, hating how my cheeks grew even darker.

Blaze and I really didn't do a thing.

I had been too shocked at that question. It had been so unexpected and because it was a completely foreign situation for me, I had responded with the three words that came to mind.

"I- I don't know."

Blaze hadn't been shocked by the response, if anything, it seemed like he had been expecting it.

Instead, he had rolled us around till we were on our sides, then he held me against his chest and his lips had trailed down my jaw and the curve of my throat. I had felt electrocuted, like each spot his lips trailed over were on fire. It had left me feeling funny all over, and I felt like if we had been standing, I'd have fallen because my legs would have grown too weak to hold me up.

He said one last thing before I fell asleep.

"In no time, bunny… you're gonna be begging me to kiss you. You're gonna beg for my touch, and then you're gonna beg for my cock."

In that moment, while he was speaking, his hips suddenly became flushed with mine, and I felt said cock through his pants, against my ass, causing me to choke on air. It had felt so long, big and hard against me, and my heartbeat had slowed down for a few moments as so many emotions rushed through my body at once.

"Is he still being a nightmare to you?" Josh asked this time and I blinked a few times while shoving those distracting thoughts aside. I chewed on my bottom lip before shaking my head.

"He mostly ignores me." I mumbled after Taylor asked me how I was fairing with him so far. His forehead crinkle as he stared at me before speaking.

"But you reeked of him this morning. You had to get some scent blockers from me this morning, remember?"

I cursed underneath my breath.

After coming down this morning reeking of Blaze, because I didn't want to draw unnecessary attention to myself, I had asked him if he had some scent blockers, which he did in his room. He even gave me a full pack.

"So, Jules…" Josh's voice pulled me out of my thoughts once again.

"Taylor and I thought about it and we think you and Blaze might be fated mates."

Even though I had heard it from Blaze himself last night, it didn't stop my heart from dropping into my stomach this time.

"You think so?" I mumbled quietly and they both nodded their heads sympathetically. When I glanced at the spot across the room where Blaze had previously been, I realized that he was gone.

"I mean, so far… yeah. It can only be fully confirmed once your wolf wakes up, I think." Taylor explained.

"We're probably not fated mates though. Wolves can only be fated to wolves, right?" I asked and Josh sighed.

"Yeah, but you're also a wolf, remember? Your wolf is only still dormant like you told us, but you're technically still a werewolf." He explained and I forced myself to nod my head.

"You're right." I mumbled as I sucked in a deep breath.

I wasn't a wolf like everyone has been made to believe. If I'm not a wolf, why then does it seem like Blaze and I are actually fated mates? Blaze is supposed to be mated to a wolf, which I'm not.

None of this makes any sense.

We were all about to head out of the hall when I spotted Xander a few feet away, and almost immediately, our eyes locked. His eyes raked over every inch of my body, clearly checking me out.

Here's to trying my luck out with him once again.

I said to myself as I turned towards Taylor and Josh, asking them to go ahead without me, and then with a slow exhale, I began to walk towards him.

I watched him say something to the student standing beside him, and the student walked away, but not before giving me a curious look.

When I stopped in front of Xander, he glanced over every inch of my body once again, and this time, I felt a little unnerved. He had a hand shoved in his pocket, earbuds were in his ears and his hair was in a bun.

"Hi." I whispered, cheeks coloring a little when he beckoned me closer, because a few people were starting to glance at us.

Once I was standing closer to him, the side of his lips twitched before he spoke.

"So, concerning the crush you have on me, we're fucking tonight, right?"
