74 I’ve Got A Bad Feeling

"Why does the principal wants to see me?" I inquired as I walked beside him, while silently wondering if I had done something wrong. I could still vividly remember my last encounter with the principal, he had seemed pretty chill, but I wasn't sure I liked him, and he rubbed me off after asking me what my relationship with Blaze was, because that had completely caught me off guard.

Kim flashed me a bright smile, one which was probably supposed to calm me down.

"He just wants to discuss something important with you. It won't take long, I promise." He responded and I grimaced. I glanced at the sky which was darkening even more.

"Couldn't it wait till tomorrow though? During the day?" I quietly asked, carefully wording my sentence so as not to piss off Kim. Although, I found it weird that if the principal wanted to see me, he called for me in the evening and had sent Kim of all people to come fetch me.

"It unfortunately couldn't, but don't panic, you're not in trouble or anything, hm?" He continued and I swallowed emptily and nodded my head, hands jammed into my pockets.

I could feel my heart racing and I made sure to be at alert.

After a few minutes, I slowed to a stop and when Kim turned back to stare at me, I pointed behind me.

"The building where his office is located that way…" I spoke but he chuckled and shook his head.

"I know that, silly. The principal is waiting for you in the parking lot." he revealed with a chuckle.

"Oh." I muttered, still frozen in the same spot. Kim nodded his head reassuringly and backtracked to wrap his hand around my arm, gradually steering me forward.

"Let's not keep the principal waiting, what do you say?" He asked and I forced a chuckle past my mouth as I nodded.

"You're right. We really shouldn't." I mumbled and as we kept walking forward, I couldn't shake the feeling off that something felt off.

I kept glancing around, feeling conscious as ever as we got to the parking lot, headed straight for the far end where a Range Rover was parked. Beside it, stood the principal.

This time, he was dressed in another two piece suit, blue in color and clinging to his muscles. His eyes glowed a little and I exhaled slowly as I bowed my head a little.

"Good evening, principal." I breathed out. A warm smile spread out on his face as he nodded at me.

"A pleasant evening to you, Mr. McCarthy." He greeted me and I swallowed emptily before awkwardly bowing once again. I shoved my hands deeper in my pockets and then I cleared my throat, eyes settling on a relaxed looking Kim for a few seconds.

"Uh… sir, you sent for me…?" I asked and he nodded, brushing his hair out of his face.

"Oh yes. That's right, I did." He affirmed with a nod of his head and I grew tense once again, mind wandering about, wondering why he had summoned me.

"Is there a reason?" I quietly asked and once again, he nodded his head. I watched as he exchanged a look with Kim who looked like he was about to say something before his mouth clamped shut. When he noticed my eyes on him, a smile stretched out on his face at once.

The smile didn't stop me from feeling less tense this time.

"Oh yes. There is. There's something important I really need to discuss with you." He revealed and I sucked in a deep breath and tried not to let it obvious that I was already panicking.

"What's that?" I mumbled and he breathed out a chuckle before waving his hand around the vicinity.

"I don't think we should have this conversation here. It's pretty important." He explained and I grimaced before glancing around the parking lot which was almost void of people.

"Oh. Are we heading back to your office…?" I asked and he shook his head, and then he turned around and pulled the backseat door of his car open.

"There's no need for that. We could head over to the nearest restaurant and have the conversation there." He suggested and I suddenly felt too cold. I unconsciously took a step backwards as I blinked at him.

"I…"

The doubt and suspicion was probably starkly painted across my face because he was quick to point at Kim.

"Relax, McCarthy. Nothing's gonna happen to you. The head of your fraternity is gonna be present, which was why I invited him to be present as well, so you'd be able to relax instead of being paranoid." He explained and as he spoke, Kim nodded slowly, a warm smile on his face. As I stared between them, I felt extremely uneasy and I couldn't explain why.

Kim's presence here isn't helping matters. If anything, his presence was making me feel more paranoid, because I could still vividly remember what Taylor told me about how the fraternity pimp out some of their omegas. So of course, I didn't trust him one bit.

I took another step backwards and awkwardly cleared my throat, eyes darting around. "I… can we please have the conversation tomorrow? During the day?" I inquired and the principal shook his head slowly, nodding towards the opened backseat.

"We need to have it tonight. It's pretty important and it's about you… about what you're hiding, to be exact. But be reassured that nothing's gonna happen to you, neither are you in trouble. We're just gonna be having a conversation." He revealed and my eyes widened in horror and my legs almost gave out.

About what I'm hiding? Have they discovered my true identity??! Or something else?

Oh shit!

I swore within myself while my heart pounded against my ribs. I suddenly felt scared shitless.

This couldn't be happening now.

When he nodded at the backseat this time, and exhaled heavily before finally walking forward and sliding into it after a little more hesitation. As the door closed, my heart lodged in my throat. Kim was in the passenger seat moments later, flashing me a smile.

"It's gonna be fine, okay?" He cooed and I nodded slowly, not believing a thing he just said.

In no time, the principal was in the driver's seat and he began to drive the car.

I made sure to try mastering the route as the car sped through the highway. I also fished out my phone and shot Andrian a text, explaining the situation to him in case anything happens to me.

He responded almost immediately and asked me to turn my location on, then he ordered me to be very conscious and not eat or drink anything given to me.

I felt a little relaxed after getting a bunch of instructions from Andrian and reassurance that he'd protect me if anything happened to me, but I still felt hella nervous.

It was already past eight. Blaze would already be undoubtedly furious because It's already late and I was still out. I bit at the inside of my cheek while wondering what he was currently doing. I'd have loved to text him in a situation like this, but I didn't have his phone number yet.

The drive didn't take more than thirty minutes and when the car finally came to a stop, I noticed that we're in front of a very large building with glass walls and exquisite design intricates. It was a nightclub, telling from the name on top of the building.

Hillstone Nightclub.
