51 Bad Idea, Right?

Jules' pov

My mouth fell open in shock and disbelief. I never expected him to actually move straight to that subject without any warning. I glanced around me almost immediately, making sure no one else had overheard.

"Um…" I began, because I had no idea of how to respond to that. How does someone even respond to that?

"Don't tell me you're changing your mind now." He scoffed with an eyeroll and I hurriedly shook my head.

"No, I'm not changing my mind." I breathed out, completely hating that I have to act like I want something to do with someone like Xander.

He screams nothing but bad news, and if anything, I wish I could strangle him and force out every detail I need from him on his father. But since I have no powers now, I have to do this the slow way, and which was to get him to fully trust me.

Although, so far, it doesn't seem like Xander was ever gonna give me an opportunity to form anything tangible with him.

"Good. Because like I said in the past, all I have to offer you is my cock and nothing more." He continued, lips curving to reveal a sinister smile. I chewed at the inside of my cheeks for a few seconds before slowly nodding my head,

"I remember."

"So, are we gonna fuck tonight?" He repeated his earlier question and I had force myself to not blurt out the question on the tip of my tongue, which was 'is sex the only thing you think about?'.

I puffed out a breath and glanced sideways again to confirm that no one was listening in on a conversation this mortifying on my part.

"We could hang out a little later today?" I mumbled and he snorted out a laugh before reaching out to lay a palm on my shoulder and I almost flinched away.

"Look, babe, if we're hanging out, it's just to fuck. Hm? If we aren't fucking then we can't hang out. What's the use of hanging out with someone this pretty if I'm not getting my cock wet?" He huffed out with a shrug, like that logic made a lot of sense and I felt my cheeks pink up a little as I awkwardly cleared a throat while silently willing him to retrieve his hand from my shoulder.

"So, what do you say?" He prompted after a few seconds, eyes trained on my lips every few seconds.

"I guess we could meet up this evening–" As I spoke, he cut into my sentence.

"… and fuck, hm?"

I needed to play my cards right. My main goal here is to get closer to him. If agreeing to this is what's it's gonna take, then I guess I'd go for it, even though it's undoubtedly a very bad idea.

"Okay." I breathed out and he grinned down at me.

"Perfect." He breathed out, informing me that he'd send someone to me later today, and then he was gone.

~~~
I was walking towards the area where the sports registrations was taking place at when I came across Blaze. He sighted me and was beside me in no time, while I was too flustered to hold his gaze.
Everything about him was unreal. Dressed in a pair of dark jeans and a thin top that did wonders to his lean muscles, he looked very attractive and he carried himself like he was very much aware of that fact.
This particular area wasn't that rowdy, which I was grateful about, because this way, a lot of people wouldn't witness Blaze sliding his arm around my waist without any warning right now.
"Where have you been, bunny." He hummed against the side of my head. My heartbeat accelerated just as his dark scent clouded my head for a few seconds.
"I was with my friends." I mumbled after some moments and he hummed once again before pulling away, but still standing very close to me. So close that when I breath in, his scent filled my lungs once again. When I glanced around, I noticed the few present students acting like they were currently blind and oblivious to Blaze's presence, which works just fine for me.
"Are you here to register for the sports competition?" He asked and I nodded my head as I retrieved the crumbled paper from my pocket.
"What team are you joining?" He inquired curiously and I shrugged. "I'm not sure yet, but I'll probably pick tennis because it seems like the one that predators wouldn't flock to."
I hesitated for a few seconds. "What about you?"
Despite the amount of time Blaze and I have spent together, we're still yet to have actual conversations. He rolled his eyes at the question before snorting.
"None."
I blinked at him in surprise. "You're not? The school said it was comporsery..."
"Bunny, you keep forgetting that I can do whatever I want. I'm not participating in this dumb school's game and no one can do anything about it." He explained with so much confidence and haughtiness.
"Oh, yeah. I forget about that. That must be really nice." I sighed after a few seconds, glancing around once again. Blaze arched a brow at me but said nothing.
I felt unnerved standing before him right now, speaking to him, and being unhurt. All the rumors I've heard about him didn't correlate with all the things I've experienced with him so far since we began rooming together, two days ago.
After Blaze walked away, I sucked in a deep breath and dragged my sweaty palms over my pants before walking past the students who had undoubtedly witnessed that little encounter with Blaze.
Registering into the tennis team didn't take too much time, and as soon as I was done, I was handed a bunch of gears and told that the team would be gathering at the field in twenty minutes for our first meeting.
~~~

When I dragged myself over to the field, I noticed that a bunch of predators were present in this team, way more than I had anticipated. I silently cursed my luck out as I sank into a seat.

As everyone were gathering together and taking their various seats, I never expected Blaze to sink into the spot beside me, completely out of the blue.

I blinked at him in surprise, mouth gaping.

"What are you doing here?" I asked in surprise and confusion and he rolled his eyes before reaching out to stroke his fingers through my hair, right in front of everyone, causing my cheeks to heat up.

"Isn't it obvious, bunny? I'm joining this team as well."
