One For All

After calming myself down, I ask the system,

'Am I really a secret love child of All Might? Or is it just a coincidence that I received One for All?'

…So that's how it is. All Might is still human after all, he needs to relieve himself from time to time. With his work as the top pro-hero in Japan, I doubt he has the time to have a child and a family. I do have some mixed feelings about it though.

Speaking of family, the 7th user of One For All, Nana Shimura, a deceased pro-hero and All Might's teacher, had one. Though her husband was unnamed, the rest of her descendants were featured in the season 5 of the anime.

And from what I remember, her son Kotaro Shimura did not inherit One For All.

(A/N: Below are my own assumptions so its not verified in canon.)

What does this mean? It either means that Nana Shimura did not want her child to inherit OFA, or OFA cannot be passed down through having offspring at all.

There's also a chance that it may be because of her husband's quirk, but after thinking about it some more, I don't think her husband's quirk is powerful enough to have an effect on OFA. His quirk needs to be unique like Eraser Head's and Hitoshi Shinso's or on the same level as OFA and AFO in order to affect it. If the unnamed deceased husband's quirk was really that strong, then why was he unnamed in the first place?

Going back to the topic, after asking about it in the system, I learned that in order to pass down OFA, the DNA and 'intent to transfer' of the giver is needed. If either one is missing, the transfer will not work. (A/N: this is canon)

As Nana Shimura didn't want to involve her son with All for One, the 'intent to transfer' condition was not passed, resulting in her son to not inherit OFA.

As for how I was created, the RPs that I spent apparently tweaked with All Might's thoughts for a little and made him suddenly want to pass down his quirk in the middle of intercourse with my mother. After that, the RPs also wiped his memory of the past hour.

Poor All Might.

Anyways, with All Might having already done his part, it was now my mother's turn.

Because of OFA's overwhelming might, any woman pregnant with the user of one will not be able to live long as it will slowly rupture their insides. As what you may have guessed, male inheritors of One for All have to endanger their partners in order to have children.

The reason why Nana Shimura, the only woman inheritor of OFA, had the chance to have a child was also because of this.

In my mother's case, it is due to her quirk that I was able to be born without any difficulties. As for how I knew about her quirk, I asked Zentros about it.

Her quirk, though I forgot about its name, allows her reproductive system to be 10 times better or worse than normal, depending on how you view it. The downside is that she requires frequent sexual intercourse in order for her insides to not collapse on itself. Another downside is that she had to eat more than what 15 people her age requires. Having a quirk like that, she was, as what you may have expected, shunned by society.

But thanks to her quirk, I was able to arrive in this world safely. As it was the first time someone sacrificed their life for me, my mind was distraught for some time back then...

Moving on, after having my questions answered, I now check the next thing in my agenda: The Card Master System.

After thinking about the word 'system' strongly, a transparent blue screen appeared before me.

Waving my hand in front of me, I notice that the system does not manifest itself in the material world but is instead something within my mind. Quite weird to 'see' something but not 'see' it at the same time.

After reading it, I learned that I can expand specific words by focusing on them. For example is,

[Level: Is a summary of the user's progress on the path to becoming a Card Master.

Curious about what I saw, I questioned the system,

'Level 0? Isn't that too low? How do I level up? And where are the experience points?'

[The user is currently level 0 as a situation where a mission can be given has not arrived yet. Levelling up requires the completion of missions assigned by the system. Experience points are unnecessary.]

Straight to the point huh.

'Missions? What are those? Am I going to be bossed around by you now?' I asked, slightly irked about the fact.

Unperturbed, the robotic voice replied,

[Missions are opportunities. If the system detects an opportunity for the user to benefit from, it will be displayed as a mission. The user can also refuse said mission.]

'Hmm... will there be penalties if I fail or refuse a mission?'

[The only penalties that the user may receive is from their circumstances and surroundings. The system only displays said penalty.]

Hearing that, I let myself relax as my worries about the system being something that will slowly control me until I lose my will and become an eternal slave, faded away.

Now in a happier mood, I focus on my bloodline.

After reading through it, I noticed something that I did not expect.

'What is this unique thingy? And why can't I see its information?'

[The UNIQUE feature of the bloodline <One For All> is an attribute that is exclusive to the user. Examples of this are Toshinori Yagi's {Muscled Form} and Midoriya Izuku's {Quirk Borrow}.]

[The user will only unlock the UNIQUE feature after reaching Level 20.]

What...?

Shell-shocked and excited from the information, I was just about to inquire more when I realized something I had previously overlooked.

'Now that I have OFA, what's going to happen to Midoriya and All Might?' I asked nervously to the system.

[As the user obtained <One For All> before even being born, it is considered not as 'passed down' but an 'Innate' quirk. As such, nothing will change.]

'In simpler terms...?'

[Children born with OFA will not affect their parents' OFA as the child is considered a part of the parent.]

*Phewww~*

So that's how it is! I got nervous for a second there thinking that I already messed up the timeline...

After feeling relieved, I tried to activate <One For All> to check its effects but before I could do so, the system exclaimed-

[WARNING! WARNING!]

Surprised by the sound, I jumped up from my position with my hands in front of me in a clumsy orthodox boxing stance.

"...."

After standing on the roof for a minute with nothing happening, the other kids on the ground were now staring at me weirdly while covering their mouths, trying to stifle their laughter.

With a serious expression on my face, I sat back down, pretending nothing happened.

'Oi! What was that for?!' I demanded angrily.

[Activating the bloodline <One For All> without a quirk will result in the third hyphen of the ACTIVE feature to be useless.]

Hearing that calmed me down somewhat as I put my leg above the other while lying down with my hands on the back of my head.

'At least warn me before saying that okay?'

[The system already did.]

As I thought... the Card Master or whatever it is that's going to be my 2nd quirk is still sealed. The Titles and SHOP are pretty much what I expected though.

It's alright though. I'll fiddle around the system and play around with these kids as training while waiting for the Head Priest Juan to gather enough money for the trip to the city. Surely there will be some opportunities to level up there right?

As for why we're going to the city, its to register my quirk of course!

Registering your quirk is a must in this world as it not only serves as an identity certificate of sorts, the government also benefits from them by creating and enforcing new laws related to specific quirks. The information from The Quirk Registry also greatly help goods and service providers such as Clothing companies, Furniture stores, and many more.

Most Kids are diagnosed and registered all at once during elementary school for free, but as we of the children of our orphanage are homeschooled due to not having enough money, we have to pay for registering.

Normally, we also have to go to a doctor to confirm my quirk and get some counselling. But due to my tall stature and strength that a 4 year old should not have, the Head Priest judged that it will just be a waste of money to go to a hospital as they already have a 'proper assessment' of my quirk.

As for the counselling, there is no need for that as our Head Priest also has a strength-type quirk.

Closing my eyes while enjoying the morning breeze, I heard my name being called below.

"Heyyy Zach! Wanna play Heroes vs. Villains together?"

Tilting my head down, I see five children, all male, with the youngest the same age as me and the oldest thrice my age. Oh? Looks like everyone's here. The one who shouted, Joaquin, a small 7 year old kid, was waving his hand at me while the others were already playing.

Opting to slide down the stairs connected to the roof this time, I land on the ground and play with the others.
