MISS MEI-LING’S DEVIOUS PLOTS

Mei-ling's mind raced wondering how she was going to send Li-na out and give an explanation to how she had already gotten the clothes.

There was a knock at her door.

Li-na rushed and opened it.

It was one of the Imperial Guards and a young boy probably around the age of eighteen.

Just seeing the guard she thought about the man she had saved and wondered if he was okay.

"This is your appointed eunuch." The imperial guard informed. "The Queen mother has directed that he stay to attend to your needs."

She looked at the boy up and down.

He was a very handsome and kind looking boy.

She knew his name already.

"Chang." She said.

And then everyone turned to look at her

Curse her intrusive thoughts!

"How do you know my name?" He asked.

All eyes were on her and she did the most stupid thing she could have ever done.

She started dancing.

"Chang, Chang, chi Chang Chang." She said. "Don't you know that song?"

They all looked at her like she was crazy.

"I've never heard such." The imperial guard said with all their mouths wide open.

"Oh my mother sings it for me." Mei-ling lied and quickly changed the topic. "Welcome to my Quarters Chang."

The boy beamed at her a smile on his handsome face.

"There is a festival." The guard informed. "You are expected to dress accordingly and be present in the Imperial court with all the other concubines and guests."

The guard turned and left.

Chang followed them into the Quarters and then Li-na jumped into a new hysterics crying that her mistress would not have something to wear.

"What happened?" Chang asked confused.

"We got robbed on the way by high way robbers." Li-na said tears in her eyes.

Chang shook his hands. "Hehe, don't cry."

He tried to pacify her but Li-na went on wailing and the very confused Chang was unsure of what to do.

But Mei-ling already did have an idea.

She had the beautiful dresses that she was going to wear but she could not let Li-na know, so how was she going to do about it.

She thought to herself as her helper roamed crying and Chang tried to get her together.

It was Chang's first day and he must already think that it was a mad house.

Then something occurred to her.

"I will like to go to the town." Mei-ling said.

Li-na with her eyes filled with tears stopped and looked.

"What for?" Li-na asked.

"I want to receive the message from my uncle." She lied blatantly.

"But I can go for you." Li-na offered.

"I'm a man it would be better I went with you." Chang offered.

Mei-ling shook her head. "No, I'll go alone. The person I was supposed to meet is only allowed to see me."

They tried to dissuade her but she remained adamant.

"Alright." Chang said. "But you have to take permission from the royal family."

"What?!" Li-na cried. "You're even agreeing!"

Mei-ling itched her hair.

There was no way she could go and meet them for permission.

If they knew, they wouldn't let her go and her plans would be soiled.

She wanted to go to the town and find a merchant she could make a bargain to deliver her clothes for her.

According to the original story, the villainess had a man who she bought the things she needed for her evil acts in the palace.

He was not a bad man, he was only a businessman who sold things and had never known his customer was evil.

She would find him and give him money so that he could send her items from space to the palace and claim that it was from her rich uncle.

That way no one would suspect she was stealing or had somewhere she was getting her items from.
