Chapter 22

the voice was very low and it was filled with misery, when he saw the hand he was creeped out as he was was shock, the hand was covered in red fluids, and after some time he saw a black bump, when he looked closer he noticed that it was a head, Flynn fretted when she raised her face,

then he felt a strong scent he quickly covered his nose, " what the heck is that smell?!!", he yelled internally, it had a very strong rotten smell,' how the hell did I not smell that scent while I was inside?!', he was asked himself, it really was surprising considering how strong it was, even when they were far from each other, but after he adjusted himself for a moment he notice that it was a woman, her head had bite marks all over, and her skin were already felling apart from her face, her face was already half rotten, it looks like she use to have long hair judging by those uneven length of hairs, and she had many hole in her scalp that she barely had any hair left, it was very disturbing to look at,

" HURRY UP!", William shouts, when he saw that Flynn was still standing near the entrance door, Flynn looks back, William was just across the street waiting for him, it looks like he could not see her, and was not aware of that woman, Flynn glance at that woman for the last time, her face was truly hideous, Flynn could not watch any longer, he rans towards the car, and when the woman saw that, she shriek, she was trembling and could barely keep her head above the floor, Flynn knew that she had only about some minutes left, and there was no way possible that she could still be saved, even if he tried, and if they did decided to try and save her it will only slow them down, which will result in getting eaten alive,

the sun was also already down, but it was not that dark yet, Flynn hops inside the car and as he adjusted, he threw those supplies to the back seat as william accelerated and they soon flee from that place, Flynn could hear a faint scream as they left,

it was very bumpy inside the car, but it was guaranteed since it was this rusty, but they sure were lucky enough that it was still running, Flynn could not think of anything except surviving while he was in the car, and even William did not say a word,

after some minutes long, "Shit!!", william quickly stepped on the brakes, "!!!!?" flynn almost hit his head, he almost had a heart attack since it was very sudden, he glance at William but when he saw his troubled face he raise his head and looks straight, and then saw a bunch of zombies ahead,

William took a large inhale, after that he shouts "Take the wheel!!", he command Flynn, he was shock but he thought that william had some kind of plan, he grabbed the staring wheel, Flynn was confuse as her heart was pounding very fast, " Get. Ready.", William said one word at a time, Flynn did not know what he was up to, he nods '??', and before he could even say a word, william quickly hit the accelerator all the way, reaching the speed limit, '!!!!!!!', Flynn was thrown backwards as they went forward, Flynn screamed as they were driving straight into them,

, " it's do or die!", william state, Flynn tightly shut his eyes as they drove above them, they crushed those that were much nearer to them, there were loud snapping noises as they kept driving and even those terrifying roars of them,

when they saw the car rushing straight towards them, they started growling loudly, but because the car was way faster than them, they were rapidly crushed during mid-growl, and while they made their way through the crowd, many of the ones that wereat the side lounges in front of the car, they could not even see the road anymore, but even so they did not slow even a bit down, even so William kept a straight face, on the other hand Flynn did not even open his eyes and was just moving the wheel around without even knowing, " open your eyes!!", william shouted at Flynn, but he still had them tightly shut, Flynn refused to open his eyes, it was chaotic,

but afterwards Flynn peeked a little and flinch when he saw the zombies looking straight in his eyes, (even if they could not see) on the front screen, the car was totally unbalanced by the weight, like it could trip in any moment, they were not sure if they were going forward or just Circling around, and finally after swinging those zombies back and forth, it finally fell off from the car making the road visible again, but as soon as they saw the road they both scream this time while leaning backward in their seats, as they were just about to hit the wall,

Flynn quickly twists the staring wheel, barely managing to survive from that crash, both of them were panting, and after some while after catching their breath, Flynn let's out a big sigh of relief as he wipes his face, and they slowed down the car after they were finally past the crowd, it almost felt surreal, and so William eventually continued driving, and Flynn relaxes after all had happened, and as they drove, they could see the building from the road, they were not far from that building anymore, it was the one that they were currently resting in, Flynn looks out of the window, it was now all dark everywhere as the sun had went down,

now that it was finally peaceful they both relaxes Flynn's arm were stiff from twisting the wheels intensely, Flynn was looking at the moon, then that woman's face suddenly appeared on his mind, he was grossed out now that he thinks back on it, her face was really disfigured making it impossible to recognise her face, ' maybe she somehow managed to escape from them after the attack but sadly they already ate half of her face or even body since she was all bloody', Flynn wondered, she was hiding in that place after escaping from them and when she saw Flynn that time she was relived thinking that she would be able to live, Flynn felt guilty for leaving her behind but he had no choice, he thought about that woman all the way through the driveway untill they reach the building,

Mary was on the rooftop gazing at the moon when she saw a car driving in, she quickly went to Ivy and told her about it, Ivy was relief when she heard the news since she has been worried sick about them, and so she swiftly goes down and opens the back door, " welcome back.", she smiled at them, she gazed into William's eyes and just smiled, William too did not look away from her, as they wind blew by them cooling the atmosphere, Ivy says something, while the moon shone unto her face, the moon was brilliantly shining especially that night, the night was filled with the sounds of the wind blowing,

as they were at it Flynn goes inside along with the supplies, he goes to the second floor where they all were, and Mike was just near the staircase when he saw Flynn coming up, Mike quickly stood up, and looks at him, he was anxious but after he saw that he was all well, a breath of relief slip from his mouth, then he opens his mouth as he was about to say something, then Flynn mumbles, " um.. can you please help me carry these...", he asks Mike, and Mike notices that he was barely keeping them from falling,

so Mike chuckle to himself, " sure.", he agreed as takes half of the stuffs from his arm and helped him carry those inside the room, as they went inside together,

as they entered the room he noticed the lamp that was lit, it was the only source of light inside the room " oh, so we're using that", Mike's nods as he puts them away, they found it in one of the villages while staying the night, it was the room where all six of them were sleeping, since the building was already crumbled to dust, and only those two floor were still standing on the ground and even the second floor had a huge hole on the roof, but they still decided to sleep in the second floor cause the first floor was just not suitable for anyone to spend the night it was filled with those crumbled pieces of cements and many rode and there it had no space for even a single person to sleep away the night, even the second floor was not exactly safe because of its condition, but since no one could enter throught the front door and even so if they got in it was impossible to reach the second floor using the front door, since they could only enter throught the emergency exit door, and now that Flynn and William were finally Back they place many things near the door so that no one could enter,
