I love Damien

The room became quiet, Andrea was looking at Leo in disbelief.

'How can I be his fiance, I don't know anything about him except what I know about him, nothing, just some information from the media,no..no...no...he can't be my fiance... I love Damien...,' Andrea debated with her own thoughts.

Andrea knew that she was a princess. Mr. James has told her often that when the time will come she will have to go back to handle her duties and the life of a princess. He had told her the whole story about her kidnapping and then Her Highness had told Mr.James to keep her in darkness.

She has been homeschooled for the first three years until she grew out of her baby features and became unrecognizable to everyone. After that, she had a perfectly normal life with Uncle and the twins. She does not remember anything from her life as a princess. She had a nightmare about the kidnapping but they were blurry and violent. She never pondered on them a lot as she was scared of what those memories will tell her.

'Uncle has never mentioned a husband who is waiting for me,' she tried to turn her face as she didn't want to make eye contact with Leo.

She looked at her surroundings. She was in the lavish office with her boss, the room. It was perfectly lit with a combination of midnight blue walls, thick and soft pencil grey carpet and silver framed Picasso. The room made a silent statement of power. But nothing more was powerful than the person who owned this room. If you wanted to redefine power you could call it Leo right now. The expression on his face was of determination.

'This person claimed to be my future husband whom I had been engaged to. What kind of hallucination was he in? Guys like him did not marry girls like me. He has looks of a fallen angel who was never up to any good. He walked with the air of supremacy around him. And I'm Andrea, simple uncomplicated Andrea,' she looked at Leo with angry eyes, she wanted to ask many questions to him but she stops herself.

Leo was watching Andrea's expressions, he was confused by how her expressions were changing within seconds as if she was debating with her own thoughts. He wanted Andrea to tell him her thoughts but by looking at her expressions Leo thought to himself, 'why she is so confused, aren't girls outside wanted to be my queen? Then why she looked angry? She should be happy that she is going to be my wife.'

'I can't marry him...I love Damien...we were kids when this engagement happened. How can he possibly think there is any hope for this relationship? Doesn't he have anyone whom he wants to marry, A princess that would fit into the slot of his queen perfectly?' Andrea thought as a voice inside her repeated 'You are a princess,' what Leo has just told her.

Then she realized something much more vital. The life of royals was so public. Wherever they go people want to take pictures, media follows their every move; discussing their clothes, weight, and whatnot. She liked her normal life. She hated crowds. She looked at Leo, the person who had turned her life upside down with one sentence, "I can't do this," Andrea said loudly, she was terrified with the thought of marrying him.

Leo saw her expressions change from shock to realization to contemplation to anger and finally settle on sheer terror. He knew it was too early to tell her. The original plan was to ease her into it but after today's attack he did not want to take any more risks with her. He will have to deal with Her Highness's anger and he will deal with it. What he cannot deal with is losing Andrea. She will be more cautious if she knew.

"Andrea there is no need to be scared," Leo told Andrea steadying her when he saw her going dizzy. "I will be there with you…every step of the way."

"I can't marry you. I love Damien. And that entire media connection, all those people will discuss me as if I am their property. My life is mine. They will put it on display for people to argue about me over tea and lunch breaks." Andrea said in a daze talking more to herself than Leo.

Hearing Damien's name made Leo's blood boil. 'So, Prince Leo Smith had competition from a slimy commoner' Leo thought with a doubtful action.

Then he realized Andrea was talking to herself voicing her fears in a daze. This was not the time to lose his temper over his princess's beloved. They were going to have to argue about him at one time but Leo would have it later than sooner and when he is not raging with anger.

Before Leo could Channel his anger and decide what to say next to Andrea, she fainted very conveniently in his arms and saved him the trouble.
