Happy birthday

Andrea angrily kicked off the blanket, got out of bed, held on to her pillow, stuffed her feet into her slippers, and marched to the door. She just turned the knob of the door, opening it slightly when Leo pounced on her while shutting the door he trapped Andrea between himself and the door.

"You want to tell me, what happened back there?" Leo whispered in her ear.

Andrea turned around slowly and found herself sandwiched, Leo in front of her, his hands on either side of the door on which her back rested.

Leo towered over Andrea. She found that she was unable to look anywhere other than the floor and continued staring at it till Leo's voice snapped her back into reality.

"I want an answer, Andrea!"

"I'm sorry for everything Leo," Andrea said in her low voice.

"For what?" Leo asked in confusion while his heart was thumping. When he got no response, he moved his hand to her face, and with his finger under her chin, he raised her head to be face-to-face with his.

"I'm waiting, Andrea!"

"Leo, I was wrong about you...You're not a murderer...And I'm glad that instead of Damien, you're in my life."

"Andrea..." Leo cut her off and was about to say something, but Andrea spoke.

"Please let me finish Leo."

Leo nodded. Andrea continued, "I don't blame you for what happened with Damien. In fact, I believe now, that it was the best thing that could've happened to us."

"Somebody is trying to kill you. I don't know who they are, but I'm happy that he didn't succeed. I'm terrified of the thought of something wrong happening to you, Leo."

After seeing Andrea's concern for him a small smile crept on Leo's face.

"I know that you think, you forced this marriage on me because of the contract; but I think it was destiny, we were just meant to be together." Leo raised his eyebrows in disbelief.

"I realize that from the time we got married, I've been a horrible person and I've been so nasty to you. You know every time I said to you, Leo I hate you, I was just trying to convince myself...It's not true, I don't hate you. I want to give our marriage another chance, I want us to start afresh. So, No divorce," After saying what she wanted to say Andrea smiled happily.

Leo pulled away from the door. He crossed his arms in front of his chest. With a broad smile, he asked, "If you're done...Can I talk?"

"No, I'm not done!" she exclaimed but went silent thereafter.

Leo noticed her fidgeting nervously with the corners of the pillow she was holding. He pulled it from her and flung it onto the bed. She watched as his hand moved towards her and disappear behind her head. She felt him open her hair, which was tied in a bun and neaten it with his fingers.

Leo tucked his both hands in his pockets and looked at her with admiration, "You look beautiful with your hairs open."

Andrea blushed at his compliment.

"Oh sorry, you said you were not done. Do continue!"

"Leo...Hmmm..." Andrea was finding a way to tell him something but she was a bit nervous.

Seeing Andrea getting nervous Leo was about to say something.

"Shush...." She placed her index finger over his lips."Let me finish." Leo nodded and she removed her finger. Leo felt like his heart just jumped out of his heart when he felt Andrea's cold finger on his lips.

Andrea took a deep breath, then blurted out, "Leo, I love you!"

"I love you too, Andrea."

"Leo, you won't call me Princess now?" Andrea pouted.

Leo smile widened, "I love you too Princess," he corrected as he pulled her into his embrace. They hugged each other for a long time until Andrea pulled away from the hug with Leo's hand still on her waist and Andrea's hands still on his shoulders.

Andrea leaned in and gave a peck on his left cheek.

"Happy Anniversary Leo, Congrats... you survived 4 months with me..." She then kissed him on his right cheek. "And this for...Happy Birthday, Leo."

"You know?" Leo asked as he can't believe that Andrea knows that today is his birthday.

"Hmmm..."

"If you knew, then where is my gift?" She moved her hands from his shoulders, down his arms, and held onto his hands, removing them from her waist. She then directed his hands to her stomach area, where her gown was tied.

He pulled on the bow and Andrea's gown opened. She removed it and it fell to the floor. Andrea stood before him in a really short, lilac-colored, transparent, strappy nightie. Leo couldn't help but stare at her beauty. He remained speechless, so Andrea asked, "Don't you like it?"

"I do...mhmm...but are you ready for this step?" Leo asked as he was not sure if Andrea is ready for this step or not.

"Yep, I am! I love you and I think we've already wasted too much time."
