Miria and Ronalds past

Victor wasn't even a little aware of what was going on around him. His father had completely rendered him unconscious.

Not a single person in the room could do a thing to help their young master. If his father saw fit to punish him then that was his right.

" You new maid, I didn't bring you in here to stare. Clean him up and bring him to bed. When morning comes I want him in my study." Raphael gave a harsh toned order, but Miria knew that it was an order she couldn't refuse even if she didn't want her master to ever see his father again.

She simply nodded and pick the young boy up in a bridle carry. As she existed the room she shot a look over to her own son making sure he would not act for the well being of his master.

Over the years Ronald was put in the position of guardian of the twins. They saw him as the big brother of Victors turned family. All he could think of now was how he is failing in his duties. The original training was already hard for him to take, but what transpired moments ago made him want to kill Raphael.

The intent to do harm did not escape Raphaels senses. He ignored it as it was nothing more than a weak ghoul who would dare to challenge him.

"Girl, your weakness is the bond you share with your pathetic brother." Raphael did not hold back his feelings when it came to his son. " If you want to be my heir do not fail me. Meet me in my personal training room in one hour. I will teach you to discard all feelings for that trash your mother gave birth to."

Rebecca was at a loss. She couldn't help, but notice her husband from the beginning of the fight and end had changed completely.

"Why? Why are you acting that way towards your son. He is strong, and smart. Wh.."

"He is weak. I looked in his soul. There was no arrogance, no hatred, no thrill for bloodshed. He lacks the very essence of what it means to be a vampire. He desires no harm to anyone or anything. The anger and rage I thought myself proud of in the beginning was nothing more than his disease taking over. Pathetic. The lesson I taught him was for his own good. A kind heart makes a corpse."

Some time later

Victors wounds have just finished healing. Nothing to bad had happened to were it would leave long lasting damage, but it did come with good rewards.

[ User has suffered great amounts of damage at a young age. Endurance has increased by 2. Awakened Royal healing. Wounds now take 10% less time to heal.]

'Added to my already fast healing speed that's awesome." Victor felt kind of thankful towards his father after the rewards he claimed.

Miria and Ronald were both stunned to see Victor up so fast. They knew the beatings from the past kept him down for much longer and now he recovered almost one hour after they got him to the room.

Victor was staring at the two people he turned. For two whole years he never found out how the really came to be his servants. The system wouldn't tell him and he had to pretend he couldn't talk for a while.

Figuring now is probably the best time to find answers he had no choice, but to ask. "Hey, you both have been with me my whole life. You never leave the house unless your on duty. What were you doing before this."

The mother son duo looked at each other before Miria rose her head with a heavy sigh. " My master, our old lives matter not, but since you asked I'll explain. We were just farmers outside of the city. My husband, myself, and my newborn child stayed in our little farm house for years and never wanted more. When Ronald turned sixteen he went to join the militia ran by Count Terifahallen. He and his men protect the outer walls of the city we are in now. Split between Terifahallen and the Fallin families the city is pretty dangerous. A small war for territory may come soon."

Victor was taking this information in and learning a few things about his surroundings.

" One day our family decided to get together and have dinner before Ronald left for the walls for good. That's when.." Tears streamed down her face as she recollected her memories of the past.

Two years ago

A family of three are in a booth in an outdoor sitting area. Pleasant conversation and happy moments between them.

Once it was time to leave the venue they walk in the direction of their home. The father tipsy, the mother holding him up on her shoulder, and the son eyeing every beautiful thing along the way.

"She's perfect!" The boy said looking at a woman who is clearly a hundred pounds heavier than he was. She had a face round and green. Her long nose stuck out with a point.

Miria had to wonder if her son was also a drunk as the father. Not to say there isn't any pretty hobgoblins in Eden, but this one sure wasn't one of them.

" Come dear let's get you both to bed." They all made it out of the city and back to the farm house. The hike even cleared up the the husbands head.

Sleep and comfortable in there home nothing could be better. Miria felt so reassured of her sons future and couldn't be happier.

The city was safe and as a protector of the wall no harm would come to him unless the dragon king himself came to raid.

Miria happy in her thoughts felt warm, cozy, and safe. She fell asleep and let the night drive past.

A bit restless in her sleep she went to spoon her husband. Her hand fell on a flat soft and wet surface. The wet feeling forced her to lift her head.

"Pal you wet the bed again. Your forty-five you can't do this every time you get drunk." She got no answer from her husband, who she thought couldn't hear her because he was fast asleep, and as her eyes adjusted to the darkness she found the bed empty beside her.

The wet feeling was warm so it must have been recent her husband had his accident. "Wait this isn't... oh gods... Pal, Ronald where is your father!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. She ran from her bed to her sons room next door. Opening his door was unnecessary as it seemed to be torn off the hinge.

Walking slowly inside she could see her son standing still looking at her husband who had blood all over his face and body.

"Dad? Why would you?" Unable to find a reason for what had happened to him, Ronald looked to the right and saw his mother.

"How is this..." Ronald saw his mom covered in blood. She also had some features he never saw her with before. Her skin was pale and her eyes were red. She had two points in her mouth that seemed very menacing. Her left side was torn out and her intestine was hanging from the fractured lower rib bone.

He fell to the floor and coughed up blood violently. Spurting from his neck even more blood came out and his body was getting colder by the minute. He new it was the end. Before his vision faded away he looked at his father who was acting stranger than biting your own sons neck.

Pal started to give in to some convulsions. His eyes white and his neck veins bulging. He took his nails and started to claw at his own throat as if he wanted to her something out of his body. He must not have been able to scratch the itch because not seconds later he screamed loudly. Following the scream he took both of his hands and proceeded to pull his own head off of his shoulders.

SNAP

The bone separating could be heard and with a giant splatter of blood and tendon his head ended up on the floor staring Ronald in the face. The body however walked right outside of the front door never to be found.

Minutes later Miria, not moving from her spot out of complete and utter shock, could not believe what had gone down in the room. She continued to watch her son not move on the floor next to the head of her dead husband. She didn't even try to stop the body that walked past her moments ago.

A gust of wind entered the room and with it a voice telling Miria a message she felt the need to obey.

" Bring food. Bring food. Bring blood." This voice was that of a child. The squeaky voice commanded and she must obey.

"But I'm not strong enough to kill anything." And just like that an implanted ritual on how to create an undead was revealed to her in her mind.

Present day

"Wait you mean big brother Ronald is not my ghoul." Victor came to a realization just as the story ended.

[ As a Royal your blood will only create vampires. You have two branched vampires]

'Wait bit mom said that Ronald and the branching combination would be unstoppable. That means she doesn't know that he isn't my turned ghoul." Victors thoughts made him feel a little more protective of Ronald as now he knows if he dies he will stay dead.

He doesn't know where the third member of the family is, but he made a silent vow to find them and get some answers as to why they waited to show up.
