Chapter 7

It's 1:1 now since we won the second set. I am drenched in sweat, and also the pain is kind of irritating me. Our coach decided to keep me as the setter.

Minutes later, it's time for the third set now.

The white blows, and it's our serve. The ball reaches the opponent's court, sets the ball to the middle, and smash comes in. Our middle blocker deflected the ball, "One touch", and the ball was passed to me. I tried setting to our rit-wing spiker, but it missed, and the point goes to them.

Quite a good way to start….

"Don't mind"…" Get the next one.." my teammates said.

The serve followed from the opposite side of the net comes in. After the first pass ball was headed towards me, but this time I set it perfectly.

I continued setting the ball while experiencing this irritating pain in my right hand.

Minutes later, the score is 18-22, and the opposite team is in the lead.

A timeout was called in, and during that time out, I tapped my right hand, even after messing here and there. Coach told me to continue as the setter till the end.

Coach is trusting me too much… Ahh! The pressure….

We were back on the court again.

"Did he blow himself out? After all, that playing, he's done?" they chuckled and said… Idiots, I can hear you guys cut and clear.

Now the scores are tied; 27-27.

A second tempo set, and we won that rally. Our turn to serve.

A jump float serve, and the opposite team gets it, and the rally continues. Throughout this, I started losing my composure

The ball is our court, and the first pass was passed on. That's when I saw Annie showing a sign to use her left hand. Weird right? But for me, it was an answer.

The ball was relatively high and a perfect chance for me. I jumped and smashed into their court using my left hand instead of setting it. I scored the last point, and we won that game.
