Ch.2 The Next Day

"What in the world happened?" I turn over to look at my clock, it's currently four in the morning. After the girl in the black cloak disappeared, not knowing what to do, I walked home, went to my room, and laid up on my bed asking the same question over and over "What in the world happened?"

   "She didnt leave any traces after she vanished, and what was with that scythe?" I began to ponder in my head. Questions I wasn't sure I would ever find the answers to.

  Hours passed by and before I knew it, it was time to get up and get ready for school, even though right now school is the last thing on my mind.

  Yui walks in as scheduled. "Good morning Shin, wow big brother you're up pretty early, breakfast is ready."

  "Thank you, I will be down in a minute." I tell her as I begin to get up.

  I walk to the table and sit down, I only manage to eat a few bites. "How can I eat with what happened yesterday,not to mention these questions I'm not even close to answering." I thought to myself.

  Yui looks over at my barely touch plate and asks "Is everything ok, big brother?"

"Yea I'm just not hungry this morning." I reply back to her.

  Like always, Hina is waiting for us next to the road.

  "Good morning Shin and good morning Yui."

  "Good morning Hina." I reply back

  "Good morning Hina." Yui also replys.

  We begin to walk to school, I yawn as sleepiness begins to creep in. Hina looks over.

  "You ok Shin? What happened did you pull an all nighter?"

  I try to laugh it off, "Yeeeeaaaa....something like that."

  I haven't told anyone what I saw at the hospital yesterday. How could I explain to anyone something I'm not sure I understand myself?

  Yui walks through the main gates of her middle school.

  "Bye big brother, bye Hina."

  "Bye Yui" me and Hina both reply at the same time.

  Me and Hina start walking to our school.

  "Shin."

  "Yes Hina?"

  "What's going on?"

  I immediately freak out, "What do you mean?"

  She looks over at me "You been acting different than usual. When we saw that car wreck, you took off. You didnt leave much of an explanation either."

   "Well...." I say nervously "I just wanted to make sure it wasn't someone that I knew that's all."

   Not sure if I'm telling the truth but she decides to drop the subject for now. "Shin, you can talk to me about anything, anytime, I want you to know that."

  I nod my head "Thank you."

We walk the rest of the way in silence.

  We make it to class much earlier than anticipated. Hina looks over "Shin get a little bit of rest til class starts, I'll wake you up when it does."

  "Thank you." The second my head hit the desk I was out.

   "Shin....Shin....Shin."

  I look up "Hina it's not ti..."

  Standing above me is the girl I saw at the victims hospital bed. As if some force is blowing against her black cloak moves around rapidly but slowly like fire. A pure black flame without light.

  She slowly reaches a hand to my face when I get a good look at it....its skeletal, but I'm not afraid.

  She touches my face "All your questions will be answered in due time but, you might want to wake up before class starts."

  Everything fades to black I look up, I'm back in the classroom the Ms. Ito just walks in, stands in front of the class. "Class I have an announcement to make, we have a new student."

  My heart stops "It's her!"
