Chapter 1:Hreatbreak

It's our 4-year anniversary and I'm on my way to surprise him, I got him a gift, it's a new pair of shoes he's been wanting. Making it to the front of my boyfriend, Corbin, apartment complex. Going in I head straight to the elevator. Entering the elevator I hit his floor number. Once I reached his floor I walk to his apartment door, unlocking it with the spar key he gave me. When I entered the apartment I saw a pair of heels that weren't mine but I didn't think too much about it not wanting to make the wrong assumption. I take off my shoes before I start walking to his room. I open the door and freeze seeing Corbin pinning and kissing another woman. Seeing this made me so angry that he would do this to me but also so sad and confused,... I thought he was loyal, but I guess I was wrong. I throw the present at him before slamming the door and going straight to the door I put on my shoes quickly as possible pushing back the tears that want to slip from my eyes.

Before I could leave his apartment, he grabbed my arm. "Let me go," I say trying to stop form my voice from trembling while tugging my arm.

"Babe, I'm sorry, I-"

I laugh sarcastically. "Sorry?" I turn to face him. "Sorry!?" I screamed in his face.

"You think I'll believe a liar, I trusted you but you broke that trust, your nothing more than a piece of shit!" I say, feeling only anger now, which shocked me, I was never one to lose my temper. I yank my arm back before opening the door and speed walking out, not looking back.

"Wait!" He says chasing after me.

I pause in my tracks and turn to look at him, "don't follow me, please." I said looking at him. I turn back and continue walking to the elevator. I stop walking again, I turn my head slightly, and say, "We're done."

Exciting the building I finally let the tears out but quickly wipe them off only for more to fall. I start walking home, I slowly pick up my pace while still wiping my tears, and soon I'm running home not caring what people think of me right now. Running I bump into someone, I turn around and gave him a quick apology before continuing to run. Arriving, my tears are dry now. I go to the elevator, pressing the button I wait for the door to open.

Entering I press the button for my floor. Waiting I take deep breaths, trying to keep the tears from falling. The elevator reaches my floor, with a ding. I quickly walk down the hall to my apartment, unlocking it I walk in and take off my shoes as I close the door. I drag my feet to the nearest conformable surface, which was my couch, and lay down with my stomach facing down. I scream into the cushion to make myself feel better. 'That didn't do much but I guess it'll work' I thought.

My phone rings and I groan not wanting to talk to anyone right. Grabbing my phone I see that's it Lisa, my bestie, I answer "Yeah." I say trying to hide my sadness. But with my luck, she caught on and asked: "Hey, what's wrong, I swear if someone hurt you I'm going to kill them".

I let out a low chuckle "I-... I saw Corbin kissing another woman when I went to his place not too long ago." I say in a sad tone.

"...."

"Hello? You there?" I question Lisa.

"I'm trying to decide to either get ice cream or commit a felony." I laugh at what she said.

"I would like the ice cream, please,"

"Even though he hurt me, I don't like hurting others."

Lisa sighed, "You have too big of a heart, you know."

"I know, but I can't help it," I say lowering my voice a bit.

"Hey... how about I get Jessie and we can stay at yours and have a movie marathon, yeah?"

"But Jessie is still at work."

"Ehh, it's fine she can make an excuse."

"but that's-"

"oh shush it's fine, okay. just get the place set up we'll be there soon."

Knowing better than to argue I say okay and get up from my comfortable position and start getting things ready.

The doorbell rings and I answer it seeing Lisa and Jessie who is still in her work uniform, "Hey.." they say in unison. "Hey...". Lisa hands me the chocolate caramel ice cream. I grab hungry before letting them in, and they both laugh at me. They come in and sit on the couch while I get bowls of ice cream from the kitchen. Giving the bowls of ice cream to both of them we all sit down on the couch with a coffee table full of snacks and start the movie marathon.

We all watched movies and eat junk food together for the rest of the night before they had to leave because they had work tomorrow.

I got all the dishes in the dishwasher before going to my bathroom to brush my teeth and get ready for bed in shorts and a tank top. And with that, I go to sleep.
