Chapter 37 (B)

I got out of the cab after paying the driver. I looked at the metal gates in front of me and took a deep breath.

“Welcome, Mr Carter.” Guard on the gate greeted me and let me in. I looked around the garden and it was decorated with fairy lights, white ribbons and lanterns. I walked all the way to the front doors of the mansion and I was sure it took me whole 10 minutes.

I skipped through the front doors that were open for me obviously. I made my way to the living room and a guy was sprawled on the couch. I cleared my throat to gain his attention. He looked up from the phone he was using, at me and sat up.

"You must be Noah." He smiled and walked over to me.

"Umm... yeah and you?" I questioned, trying to remember if Ryan told me about having a brother or cousin brother coming over.

"Name's Shawn. Shawn Brandon." He extended his arm, making me remember.
