Chapter 1 Fate

The bus stops near the park. A place where he requested to be dropped off at. He was wearing clothes that's full black possibly came back from a funeral.

Dabi: ...

Walks off the bus and heads towards to one of the benches. Sitting down on a bench watching the clouds go by. Wondering on what's wrong with his life.

Dabi: I just lost another friend and yet I'm still here. Life sucks for the worst and pretty sure you like to ruin my life don't you?

Looks up at the sky for a short moment before pulling out a cigarette lighting it up with his lighter that he pulled out from his pocket. Smoking the cigarette and looks over to see someone standing in the distance. A person who covers their face in a mask even though it's hot.

Dabi: Who's that?

Looks closer to see who that may be. He wasn't sure to go close or not. But for some reason it caught his interest is like something or someone is telling him to get closer. Getting up from the bench and heads towards to the person. Passing by a trashcan that's used for cigarettes. He placed the cigarette in the trashcan and kept on going to see who it was. Once there he stopped a short distance to see someone wearing a mask. The mask was white it's like a typical medical mask that's used to cover your face when your sick. The feeling that he felt over the person who's standing just a few feet away from him. For some reason he felt a connection.

Dabi: Hey you...

Raised up his voice to get the person attention. Even though he doubts that the person would ever look at him even once but at least he said something better than saying nothing.

Chisaki: ...

Looks over to him afraid but remained quiet pretending that he didn't hear him. Even though he just looked over where he was at.

Dabi: There's no need to be afraid okay?

Smiles slightly. The smile is to reassure him that everything is fine and he means no harm. A thought occurred in his head thinking about on why he's afraid of him or maybe it's because they're strangers which it is true.

Dabi: Sorry for bothering you but I'm Touya Todoroki it's nice to meet. However people call me Dabi but it doesn't matter you call me.

Puts out his hand and gives him a friendly smile.

Chisaki: ...

Looks at his hand and begins to step back but stopped to reached out to his hand slowly. Almost touching his hand but immediately pulls back. Turning around quickly. Hiding his face with his jacket.

Chisaki: I-I'm K-Kai C-Chisaki...

His voice was shaky.

Dabi: There's no need to be shy Kai.

Smiles at him.

Dabi: I was wondering if you want to be friends.

Looks at him calmly and noticed Kai turning back.

Chisaki: W-Why w-we j-just m-met?

His voice was shaky again due to the fact of fear taking over.

Dabi: Well yeah but it's nice to meet new people though.

Smiles at him once more.

(In his mind)

"Honestly I don't know why but maybe it's fate. Something or someone just lead me to you I wish I could say that instead but it's really hard to believe."

(Out of his mind).

Chisaki: ...

Looks at him still afraid but slowly nodded to his response as he slowly moves away from him.

Chisaki: O-Okay w-well s-see y-you l-later...

Turns around and walks away quickly.

Dabi: I'll see you around.

Waves goodbye to him.

(In his mind).

"Oh I guess I must've scared him off..."

Looks down slightly while putting his hand down slowly.

"Maybe we'll meet again."

Smiles slightly.

(Out of his mind).

The wind blows slightly causing the leafs fly in the air. Passing right behind him. A white van parks right next to him. Looking at the white van for a short moment but noticed the back doors opening slowly.

Dabi: Who's that?

Stands still pretending to watch the sky.

The Man In White: You do realize that you just said that out loud right?

Steps out from the van and stands right beside him.

Dabi: Well I'm not smart okay.

Smiles nervously and noticed the man is wearing a white suit and a white mask which covers his entire face.

Dabi: I didn't know it was Halloween I thought it passed a month ago.

Looks at the man in white calmly yet wonders what is up with him.

(In his mind).

"I never seen anyone dress like that before but why is this type of person is here?"

Looks at the man in white confused yet wonders on why this type of person is talking to him.

(Out of his mind).

The Man In White: I see you met Chisaki but I have to warn you to stay away from him. Pretty sure you don't want to be involved with him it's better you just forget about him.

Looks at him calmly while looking messing around with the device that's within his pocket.

Dabi: You been watching us that's creepy don't you think?

Looks at him with a smile for a short moment to see the van has a word that's hard to see but it's there if you get closer.

Dabi: Why is there a reason why I should stay away?

Looks at him calmly yet felt something off. The feeling in air is like a violent animal wanting to protect their food.

Man In White: Just stay away from him or else something bad will happen to you.

Walks away heading back to his van.

Man In White: If I caught you again then you will disappear.

Closing the doors of the van. The van begins to move driving away. The wind blows the leaves putting them on the floor. Everything went still.

Dabi: ...

Looks at the floor for a short moment.

(In his mind).

"That sounded like a death threat or something but for some reason I want to meet him again. Would he come to the same park tomorrow?"

Looks at the place where Chisaki was standing at. Imagining him standing right in front of him.

"Maybe there is a reason why he was afraid is it because of me or maybe it's because of that Man who's dressed in white?"

Looks over to see one leaf floating in the air. Floating towards to the direction on where Chisaki ran at the leaf landed on the spot on where he stand.

"I'll come back tomorrow afternoon to see him again."

(Out of his mind).

Dabi: I'll see you soon Chisaki.

Smiles and turns around to head back home.

(In the background hiding right behind the fence).

Standing in the shadows under a tree.

Chisaki: ...

Looking out slowly to see Dabi walking off.

(In his mind).

"He wanted to be friends with me?"

Clutching his fist slightly and looks over to leaf and noticed it laying there still not moving at all even though the wind had picked up again.

(Out of his mind).

Chisaki: Maybe we will...

Says it softly and then walks off.

(Next Day)

(In Dabi's House in the bedroom).

Laying down sleeping soundly on the bed dreaming about what just happened during the encounter between him and Chisaki. However a little bit different.

(In the dream)

Dabi: I see you came back to see me.

Smirks at him.

Chisaki: Well I couldn't keep myself away from you.

Smiles at him.

The Man In White appears right beside them both.

The Man In White: You both seem good together so you may see him whenever you want.

Smiles at them both.

Dabi: Alright!

Smiles happily.

The sunlight shines over him causing him to wake up slowly. Covering his eyes from the light.

Dabi: It's morning already.

Getting up slowly. Rubbing his eyes with his right hand. Yawning a bit before waking up fully.

Dabi: I wonder what his morning will be like?

Remembering Chisaki. A smile appears on his face just for thinking about him.

Dabi: Today is the day I meet him again.
