Chapter 1

Lily Anastasia lived in the New York alone, no friends, no families, just nobody.

So an old woman decided to take care of her and Lily was happy to find someone in her life.

Some people called the old lady Mrs. Cora because that was her name but Lily called her Aunt Cora.

Cora Reilly is a 67 year old lady who did all she could to take care of Lily.

One day lily applied for a private university in Washington after graduating from college, and she got approved, though Cora would be very sad 😢 but she wished the best for Lily.

On that day, she waved goodbye and promised to keep in touch as she ran into the train. Lily hired a lady to take good care of Cora and the lady was very nice, she promised to take good care of Cora, Lily was relieved because the lady seemed nice and did not seem like a person with bad intentions.

When Lily got to Washington, she was lost, everyone was minding their own business and not one helped her, she didn't know the way to the apartment she rented to stay in and she didn't know how to call a cab, simply because all her life she had never needed to call a cab, the supermarket was very near her house, so she would take a walk.

A man suddenly parked in front of her and told her to get in.

'Hey there gorgeous, it looks like you need a ride, hop in'

She was afraid but she entered since she didn't have a choice, she dragged her bags to the back of the car and sat at the front.

She told him the address of the place she wanted to go to but as they were almost there, she couldn't help but notice that the man kept staring at her laps.

'Is there a problem sir' She said as she turned to him shaking.

'Oh, not at all, you just look so lovely, I can't help but stare' The man said recahing forward to touch her laps.

She told the man to drop her off at a place, because she felt uncomfortable, the man agreed and dropped her off and the place, as the man drove away, she thought of how she would continue her journey but she realized her house was just few blocks away.

'Phew!! 😅 I almost thought I would have to walk a long distance ' She said wiping the sweat off her brow.

Though dragging the bags was challenging but she made it anyways, the key was under the front door carpet so she took it and unlocked the door.
