1 The Forbidden Forest

Max is a inquisitive and adventurous teen so when his bestfriend Dererk mentioned exploring the forbidden forest of Macsbird he didn't hesitate to join. Macsbird forest was concealed behind a 20ft tall wall and guarded by workers day and night.

Max POV

We made it to the wall around 9 which meant it was pitch black. I started patting down my pockets when I realized I had forgotten the tools. I don't know why I was patting my pockets when they couldn't fit in there anyway. "Hey Derek" I yelled as he attempted to jump the wall like he didn't know we were gonna need our ropes. "Dude I forgot the tools we should go back for them." Derek shook his head as he started to climb without any gear "Naw man we here now" he pointed out "Our eyes will adjust and rock climbing is fun." I roll my eyes as I hear Derek fall on the other side of the wall. I get a little anxious as I jump up after climbing so far up that everything looked little and feel my feet were no longer on the ground they were just dangling there. "I don't think imma make it," I screech in fear as it starts getting harder to breathe the more I looked down. My breathing gets heavier and my hands begin to sweat as I start to climb down and luckily for me as I'm like 6 feet off the ground to the other side I lose my grip. "Max come on and jump over," he whispers loudly "you are technically already down the wall." Not wanting to be stuck forever I get over the wall sliding down and landing on some soft. As I land I hear a soft grunt and someone scream 'get off me.' Turns out it was just Derek.

The sun starts the rise as we finally spot a tremendous tree that marked the center. A smile brightens up Derek's once droopy face as he runs full speed towards it and I follow closely behind. "Thank you we finally made it, " I yawn as I run my fingers through my black hair in an attempt to try to wake up. " We found it," Derek yells and I try to figure out what's so special about a big crusty tree. As he starts running around it my face drops. "Derek dont tell me we came all the way out here for some old beat up tree," I yell in frustration. He stops in his steps and points down towards the ground. I take a step back and I clearly see a embedded sword. "That cant be real," I say in amazement.

We took a sit next to the sword and thought about touching it. I was hesitant so I urged Derek to go first. He stood up and smiled broadly at me then walked up and personal with it. Before he actually touched the sword he hopped up and down shaking his hands and feet before breathing heavily and nervously. Grabbing the handle he shot me once again a very full of himself look then he started to pull the sword and it didn't budge not even a little. He tried a little harder this time by setting his foot on top of the rock but yet again it didnt move instead he popped his back. The crack of his back made the birds in the area fly away. He drops the handle and steps back holding his aching back as I laugh holding my stomach while tears roll out the corners of my eyes. Now bent over in pain he nods his head towards the rock telling me to go. My laughter came to a end as I pushed my self off the grass. I slowly walk to the rock ,and silent but rapidly breathing in and out. "Come on and pull the dang sword," Derek the grandpa rushes as his voice shakes with every word. I give him a death glare not saying a word to him before touching the delicate handle. Taking one more deep breath closing my eyes to make it seem more effective I pull the sword and it smoothly and swiftly exits the rock and my eyes light up. I look at Derek as his facial expression changes from 'I'm in pain' to 'I know you lying.' Derek opens his mouth to talk when the sword starts to glow and explodes with a white flash throwing me into a tree knocking me out cold.
