Chapter 34: What arrogance!

Did she miss him? Of course and she was quite happy that he was here this early. But what's up with him pointing it out to her? It felt so embarrassing. She stood straight and steadied herself, looking away from him.

"You...", she realized she couldn't say anything.

Rex decided not to tease her again. He quickly carried her out if the kitchen and took her to her room. This made Ariel wonder if he installed some cameras in her house but, even if he did, so what?

He kept her on the bed. "You should freshen up before your visitors arrive. I'll make breakfast" he said. He brought his face closer and took her lips in his giving her a deep but gentle kiss. After that, he left for the kitchen.

Ariel found herself blushing widely. She ran inside the bathroom and was jumping around to clear her mind. After she had calmed herself down, she began her bathroom rituals.

Few minutes later, she walked out of the bathhouse and dressed up. She sported a simple chiffon skirt that had a linen from her waist to her hip leaving the rest of her legs to be seen through the transparent material and a chiffon crop top of the same design. She tied her hair in a ponytail and fixed her legs into her slippers. She was a natural beauty so, make up wasn't needed. She walked out and made her way to the kitchen.

Rex was already done. He had whipped up something simple for their breakfast. He felt so happy. He realized how nice it could be to cook. Just then, a familiar maiden scent wafted into his nose. He looked up only to find her standing at the door. She smiled at him an walked in.

She took in the aroma of the food and looked at him. "Smells good".

Rex didn't reply. He just stared at her. She was really beautiful!

"What's wrong? Let's go and eat".

He nodded mechanically and left the kitchen with the tray of food. He didn't let her carry any. He just carried everything. He didn't mind doing the work as long as she didn't stress herself. Ariel's heart warmed at his actions.

That morning, they sat down to a hearty breakfast. When they were done, Rex cleared the table. He didn't let her do it. If any of his underlings were to witness this scene, they would be petrified. Their boss!

Rex came out after he was done. He met her at the living room and joined her.

"You aren't going to the office?"

"I'm the office itself. If I say there is no office, then there won't be any".

Ariel chuckled. " So overbearing ".

" I'm? Am I ? "

She didn't answer him and just looked at him. Her face was full of smiles.

"Thanks Rex".

"For what?"

"For coming around. I'm happy".

He stroked her face gently sending currents into her body. " As long as you are happy, I would do anything ".

Ariel's eyes watered. This guy...

The tears fell from her eyes. Rex leaned closer and kissed the tears off her face. He kissed her forehead trailed it down to her nose and then her lips. He pried her teeth open with his tongue and their tongues did a tango. Ariel was swept away by his kisses and she couldn't help but hold unto him. Rex kissed her till she could think no more. When their lips parted, they looked into each other's eyes just to see the blaze in them.

Rex looked at her. He brought his face to her ears. "It's ok baby. I will wait till you're ready".

Ariel didn't say anything. Her breath was husky enough. She wanted more but, she had to wait. That was a very large step for her to take. She wasn't very sure if she wanted to cross that bridge yet and she was very grateful to him for thinking about it for her. She looked at Rex and pulled his face down. This time, she was the one taking the lead. They were just into it when the doorbell rang.

A chuckle came from above and it was Rex. It sounded so demonic and petrifying.

"They're here" he said. He placed a kiss on her forehead and stood.

"Where are you going?" Ariel asked. She thought he was leaving.

"Your room".

Ariel chuckled. "You're afraid?"

Rex smirked. " Am afraid that they'd pee on their pants at the sight of me ".

What arrogance!
