Chapter 13: His arrival

Ariel made the girl sit beside her. The young girl couldn't help but feel shy at Ariel's beauty. She blushed.

"Do you know them?", She asked

"No". The girl gave a swift answer.

Ariel nodded. "Do you know me then?"

The girl shook her head.

"Then, why did you come with me?"

"Because, you're harmless".

Ariel looked at her and smiled. The young girl was quite amusing.

"What's your name?" Ariel asked.

"Regina"

"I'm Ariel".

" And I'm Tyra", Tyra quickly introduced herself.

Regina smiled. For the first time in years, she felt genuinely happy.

" He's here!! "

A loud shout came from the first floor. Everyone looked at the entrance.

The first person that came into sight was Jim who was clad in a black tuxedo and black shiny shoes. He was leading the two friends in.

Malcom and Rex.

Malcolm wore a cream colored tuxedo which gave him a refreshing look while Rex was clad in an aux-blood tuxedo. His hairstyle which fell loosely on his forehead was breath-taking. It made him look so lazy and laid back but... everyone knew that he wasn't someone you would want to mess with.

Rex walked to the place where his seat was kept. His parents were there and his grandfather as well. He greeted them with a bow and turned to Mr. Mac. They both exchanged bows and Rex took his seat. From where he sat, it was as though he was an emperor who was looking at his subjects.

Stupid people. What did they think they are trying to achieve?

Rex laughed at them in his head. Just then, subconsciously, he saw a figure sitting not so far away from him, at the second floor with two ladies flanking her on both sides. One looked to be the same age with her and the other was younger.

His heart skipped a beat. She came?

Ariel was so shocked to see the new boss of the Forbes Consortium. The guy she met at the apartment the previous day?!

Tyra was shocked as well but she was grinning from ear to ear. It was a nice thing. Luck was on their side. She concluded that from what transpired between her friend and that guy in front of the elevator that day, they were already the winner.

The calmest of them was Regina. She was aloof and didn't even bother looking at whoever it was. She always saw him everyday.

The party officially began after the M.C gave his speech.

A dance was issued at some point and Rex was the one to open the floor. This was the moment that every lady was waiting for.

A dance with him!!.
