We continued travelling along following the map and Donatello and George taught Nathaniel and I self-defense along the way. Nathaniel already had some sort of training as the crown prince, but I had never even been allowed to hold a knife, so I struggled a bit. Even though I felt like I was holding everyone back, George and Donatello kept saying that I was a fast learner.

One day, Joan suggested that we stopped by a town to get medicine in case we got hurt or sick, so George took out the map and told us that the destination changed. We asked what he meant, and showed us that the map showed the quickest route to the closest town. We asked Arthur about the map, but he didn't know either. Donatello held the map and said the name of a far port town and the map changed, again. We took turns holding the map and saying random cities and towns and with every name, the map changed. Nathaniel grew frustrated and threw the map into the campfire and stormed away.

Joan and I tried to get the map out of the fire as Donatello got up and yelled at Nathaniel. George separated them in case a fight broke out, but he still managed to call Nathaniel a "whiny little brat with no sense of gratitude." Nathaniel ran into the woods as it began to rain and Donatello followed after him. Joan asked George if it's okay to let them go, and he said that the landslides caused by rain are dangerous, but Donatello would keep Nathaniel safe.
