THIS ALEXANDER 2

Alex smiled to himself as he went downstairs. He knew that Raine was following him. All the troop members that saw him on the way nodded as a way of greeeting him. Some of the unmated females stared at him lustfully. They also saw one of the human girls following after him. Raine turned and saw that they were all looking at her. She gave a nervous laugh and waved before running after Alexander to God Knows Where. The troop members were wondering why Raine was following Alexander but decided to stay quiet about it.

Alexander stepped out of the mansion. It was already dark outside. He walked to the dense part of the forest and Raine, although she was scared, followed him. She was sure that nothing would happen to her while she was around. She ran after Alex but couldn't catch up to him. He was too fast. Alex walked quickly trying to create some distance but not so fast that he'd lose track of her. If he got a certain distance away from her, he wouldn't be able to feel her presence anymore and that would be a problem. Although she annoyed him, he wasn't going to let anything happen to her.

Raine started panting. She was leaning on a tree. 'His legs are so long, no wonder he walks so fast.', she thought to herself. Suddenly she heard some giggling behind her and turned. She couldn't see anything but she could still hear the giggling sounds. She stood straight and started running again while calling Alexander's name. Three short green creatures with square like heads and pointy ears stood before her. She thought of running back to the troop house when she realized that they had come quite far from there. Raine didn't know what to do as the creatures were giggling and rotating their heads while looking at her.

She carried a stone and threw it at one of them which only resulted in the creature increasing in size. She got scared and didn't think of throwing stones again. She mumbled, "What are these hideous things." The creatures felt offended by what she said and asked, "Who are you calling hideous. It seems that you don't know what we are. We are the shades of the night. Now we saw you earlier but we couldn't feast on you as you were with those beasts. Now that you're alone we have a meal". They started laughing and pounced on her. Before they could sink their teeth into her, they were ripped off of her body.

Raine raised her head and saw Alexander standing there. He glared at the hideous creatures. They all puffed up and increased in size trying to scare Alexander away. When they saw who it was, they went back to their original sizes and fell on their knees. "Master, please forgive us, we didn't know that she belongs to you, otherwise we wouldn't have touched her.", one of the shades said.

Raine looked at them and realized how funny they look. They were already short to begin with and now they were shorter. Then she heard something that didn't quite sit well with her. They said that she belongs to him and the Alexander of a man didn't bother correcting them. Alexander decided to punish them by freezing them to a tree. "Now you three will stay here until the ice melts. If you're lucky, you won't turn to another creature's meal and if you're not so be it". Seeing as they were about to whine and complain he told them to shut up.

He turned to Raine and took her hand before walking back in the direction of the troop house. Raine couldn't control her curiosity and asked "Why are those creatures strange. They seem easier to handle than the other creatures." Alexander looked at her and said, "They're quite dangerous. They may appear playful but one of them is able to take out three gorillas if they're not careful. They're called Shades or Shadows. Only few higher creatures can touch them as they are made of smoke and shadows which makes them more dangerous." Raine was quite shocked hearing that those small creatures could do a lot of damage. She couldn't wait to get out of the forest. "Why didn't you say anything when they said that I belong to you?", Raine asked again. Alexander looked at her and smirked before giving a vague answer, "You'll find out soon enough".
