Unknown feelings
The next morning when the girl woke up, she was glowing, the princess got dressed and prepared for the last part of the tournament.
After she got dressed she went to have breakfast, but her mood got spoilt upon seeing Mila,
"Good morning guys" the princess said,
"Good morning sweetie" her parents replied,
"Congratulation on taking the win so far" Mila said,
"Thanks Mila" she replied as she sat near Martin,
"Mom where is Jake?" she asked,
"He went home last night, said he will be back this morning so" she said,
"Oh okay" she replied as she got up from the chair with her heart thumping fast,
"Uh.. mom i will go look for him" she said,
"There is no need for that" Jake replied as he walked in,
The girl sighed in relief and hugged him "it's okay, i am fine" he said,
"Okay, sit down we have another part of the competition to complete, probably the last" she replied,
He sat down "how are you feeling?" he asked,
"I am fine, thanks to Martin" she responded,
"Thanks for looking after her Martin" Jake said,
"It was no big deal" Martin replied as he looked at her.
After everyone finished eating, they went to the throne room, a few minutes later the king and a few of his soldiers walked in, everyone bowed down to him.
"Your highness what are you doing here?" the queen asked,
"Who won last night competition?" he asked,
"Uh.. Martin and Charlotte" the king responded,
"Good well this competition will go now further, the winners are Martin and Charlotte" he said,
"Oh, okay but why the sudden change?" the king asked,
"You dare to question me" the king said,
"He just asked you a simple question your royal highness" the girl replied.
"Watch how you are talking young lady" he said,
The girl raised her left brow "i know how i am supposed to speak" she replied,
"That is enough Charlotte" Martin said,
She looked at him and folded his cuffs, "everyone can go back home now, there is no need to stay" the king said.
The people humbly agreed and left, that morning the king triggered the hatred on the girl's heart for him.
After the king left the king and queen sighed "thank god, he left" the queen said,
"Martin you asked me if i would kill your father remember?" she asked,
"Uh.. yeah" he responded,
"Well i got the answer, i will if he keeps ruining peoples happiness" she said as she walked out of the throne room.
Martin sighed, "do not worry, she just said that out of anger" the king said,
"No i do not think she just said it, i think she meant it this time, i apologize on behalf of my father" he replied then left.
The girl went and sat down by the waterfall, "you okay?" Jake asked,
She sighed "i am fine, thanks" she responded,
"Is everything okay between you and Martin?" he asked,
She looked at him "what makes you say that?" she asked,
"You guys snap ay each other for no reason, if someone like me pictures it you guys would make a perfect couple" he said,
"Jake there is nothing for you to worry about, relax" she replied as she laid down on the soft grass.
He laid down near her, "can you look at me?" he asked,
The girl turned and they stared into each others eyes, he then placed his hand on her face, she jumped, he then came over her and kissed her, the girl eyes widened "this feels weird" she said,
The girl started to feel uncomfortable in someone else's hands, she closed her eyes and pretended as if she felt nothing and kissed him back.
At that very moment prince Martin came and saw the boy over the girl, he folded his cuffs in anger and was about to confront him but then remembered what they said to each other on the hunt, he sighed and simply walked away.
The girl felt that he was there, so she stopped him when he was about to kiss her neck and got up,
"I am sorry, i have something to do" she said,
He smiled and stood up "it's fine, i understand, can we catch up later?" he asked,
She smiled "sure Jake" she responded as she walked away.
Martin was so angry that he went and packed his bags, "why am i getting so angry it is not like i actually care about her?, i only came here because my father asked me to" he said to himself then sat down on the bed and placed his palm on his face.
The girl knocked on his door "come in" he said,
She walked in and saw his bad on the bed "are you going somewhere?" she asked,
"Uh.. no just checking something" he responded,
"I am sorry you saw that just now" she said,
"How did you know that i saw?" he asked,
"I had a feeling" she responded,
"Well you do not owe me any explanation, it is your life and your relationship, outsiders has no right to interfere" he said,
The girl sighed "you are a pain in the ass, you know" she replied,
He laughed "i know, i am glad i got to meet you" he said,
"You too, you do not have to leave so soon Martin" she replied,
"Are you asking me to stay for a little while longer princess?" he asked,
"Uh.. maybe, i mean we were friends maybe we can try being that again" she said,
He smiled "as you wish" he replied as he hugged her.
The girl felt comfortable around him, she placed her hands on his shoulder and raised him off of her.
"Okay i will see you for lunch" she said,
Yeah see you" he replied after she left the room.
"You are starting to trust me, i wonder when you find out the truth if you will hate me" he said to himself.
