92 Chapter 92: Knights Orders

Just a short exposition on the military force of the kingdom at this time

If you were to ask me about the extent of damage we inflicted upon the ratmen, I would quote the meme, "'Tis but a scratch." Despite the dozens of enclaves we exterminated, the tens of thousands of ratmen we dispatched, and the numerous horrifying ooze-based war weapons we destroyed, I could proudly say that we did about as much damage as an ice cube to a raging fire.

Very little.

I say this because for every enclave we wiped out, I would gain knowledge of two or three more, each filled with thousands more ratmen to wipe out. Initially, I didn't mind much, as I enjoyed the influx of experience points, no matter how small they were. However, I soon encountered problems as my military stretched thin.

If I were to estimate the population of the Ice Kingdom, I would say it stood at a clean 500,000. Of this population, only 5% are official soldiers, totaling 50,000. Another 5% are guards, adding another 50,000. However, none of these guards could be moved, as the ratmen would attack or assault a town or city at any given time. Therefore, I had only 50,000 soldiers and the knight orders to work with. Each knight order had at least 500 members.

The five knight orders were the Blood Knights, Obsidian Order, Sacred Flame, Death Knights, and Ivory Cross, each specialized in their own unique areas of expertise.

The Blood Knights, as explained before, were specialized in mounted combat and the use of heavy weaponry and armor. They could tear through droves of ratmen at a time, boasting the lowest casualty rating of any order. This was partly due to the fact that their order mainly comprised vampires, who could survive nearly anything as long as their hearts remained undamaged.

Following them is the Obsidian Order, a knight's order that specializes in earth and water magic to create a chaotic, uneven battlefield. They utilize light loadouts, as heavy armor would be impractical on the muddy, uneven ground they create, their rank is taken up by humans and servants.

Next up, I'd like to talk about the Ivory Cross and the Sacred Flame, essentially one knight's order. Both specialize in long-range combat and the use of healing, light, and flame magic. They utilize a mix of heavy and light armor in a milky white color, with only subtle color differences: the Ivory Cross has silver highlights, while the Sacred Flame has red flame-like highlights.

Finally, my favorite order, for no particular reason—the Death Knights. They were the elite among the elite of the knight's orders, proficient in anything I needed them to be. They underwent the harshest training imaginable, whether human, servant, or vampiric, and with my magical teachings, they gained a basic understanding of any magic type. They were truly monsters in every sense of the word. Even Billy couldn't take on more than three of them without getting his ass whooped, and that's with them only using their bare hands, with no magic.

Overall, the knight orders proved central in leading the available army in taking down the ratmen. However, more often than not, we found ourselves struggling, as many times we lost many troops due to the highly lethal ratmen weapons. Fortunately, their attacks rarely landed, thanks to our defensive magic and barriers.

Though few troops were lost, this still caused outrage among the people who supported the war effort. They began to join the army in droves, bolstering our forces significantly. However, this influx of new recruits did little to speed up the extermination of the seemingly limitless ratmen.

I wonder what Billys up to?

Okay Let me start off by saying this. What the hell do you expect when it comes to mc levels? its 6 MILLION FUCKING EXP the ratmen are between the tiers of 1 - 2 and give like at there best 500 exp so mc not leveling up quickly any time soon and I don't even want to start on how much exp mc going to need when he reach Rank 3 anyways.

Short boring chapter anyways see y'all next chapter
